Hey Texan. Do you live in Nacogdoches? Was Charlie Wilson your Democrat representative? What happened to Democrats and real patriots like Charlie?
I live about 3 hours from Nacogdoches. Most of the patriotic Democrats became Republicans. I'm sure there are a few left. Ralph Hall passed recently. A conservative to moderate Democrat is called a Blue Dog Democrat. I don't know where the name came from but it originated when Reagan was president and lured a lot of Democrats to the Republican party. Blue Dogs tend to cross party lines on certain issues.

Whoa ... have you seen the latest vintage video (2017) of Joe Biden? He was talking about his younger days as a lifeguard.

Click on this link and slide down to the "Why does he say things like this?" video. Then start the video.
https://twitter.com/winningatmylife/sta ... 3043565568

Here's a transcript of what he said:
https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election ... lifeguard/
“By the way, you know, I sit on the stand, and it get[s] hot,” Biden said, flanked by children from the local community. “I got a lot, I got hairy legs that turn blonde in the sun, and the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again. They’d look at it.”

The former vice president added that he learned “about kids jumping on [his] lap” from the job and also worked with some “good men” at the pool.

“And I’ve loved kids jumping on my lap,” Biden said at the event.
You can hear the "extended play" version of Biden's remarks on the Breitbart site.

If that doesn't creep you out, nothing will.
Bloody hell. How could anyone support that clown. He’s clearly demented.

Lyin Brian, would you actually support Biden over Trump? The man is a complete loon.
Exactly right, Nicole.

But Biden's had a weird history as a politician.

As you may recall, Biden's 1988 campaign for president hit the rocks after he was caught plagiarizing a speech by a British politician.

Good grief, how tough is it to write an original speech, especially when you have your own staff?

Anyway, one conservative pundit (might have been Hannity) quipped that Obama rescued Biden from the political scrap heap when he chose Creepy Joe as his running mate.

And did you see how, in that CNN "damn liar" video, Biden bristled, then insulted and practically picked a fight with that 83-year-old man at his town hall meeting? At least Trump is funny when he brushes off hecklers.

I think his staff are a major part of the problem. They appear to be incompetent.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me. Poor, poor, "Nicole". I would support anybody who appeared more honourable than el Presidente' Trump who is IMO full of bullshit. I am unsure why you support such a creature as Trump, "Nicole". The man lies, cheats, is deluded and a complete WOFTM. :roll :roll

And the US voters still preferred him to Hillary Clinton.

I'm sure Trump loses a lot of sleep worrying about your opinion of him.

But in answer to your question of why anyone would support him, try this:
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/12/06/cramer- ... -jobs.html
Cramer: Like or hate Trump, ‘these are the best numbers of our lives’ on jobs

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said Friday no matter your view on President Donald Trump there’s no denying we’re living in the best labor market in more than a generation.

“You can’t contradict that these are the best numbers of our lives. You can’t,” Cramer, 64, said following the government report showing the U.S. economy created a better-than-expected 266,000 nonfarm jobs in November, with the unemployment rate dipping to 3.5%, matching a 50-year low. Economists had expected the jobless rate to hold steady at 3.6% last month.

No doubt Hillary would have done just as well with the economy ... (cough, cough).

And just think what Biden, who half the time doesn't even know which state he's in, could do to improve the Trump economy. His economic plan would probably include goals like "More manufacturing plants for record players, typewriters and buggies."

I think Biden humiliated himself more than anyone.

It's obvious the questioner hit a nerve when he asked Biden about his son's shady dealings, and instead of having a credible response, Biden went schoolyard on him.

To his credit, the guy didn't back down. If that had been me, I'd have just stared right at Biden and said something like, "You gonna take me out behind the barn or something? Go ahead, show me what ya got, Grandpa!"

He'd lose politically regardless of whether he backed away or took a swing.

He like you, can think what you like 4E/ Remember you're on an Australian forum arguing with me, an Australian. I acknowledge I don't have a vote in this matter but I wonder why anybody would support a creature like Trump. He is a "know nothing" in the classic sense of the words in American politics. His isolationism will lead the American nation and ultimately the world to the same place that previous isolationism has lead it. :roll

To be accepted as an "Australian", you need to primarily to put the interests of your people before all others, Briney. Since you never, ever do that, (quite the opposite in fact),how can you consider yourself "Australian?" You are a card carrying socialist internationalist, Brian. Saying that you are "Australian" could get you into trouble with your comrades, as they would consider your claim to be dangerously close to Nationalism. And Nationalism and Patriotism are dirty words to Internationalists.
