Before one judges China.
One SHOUKD go there and see China.
Not the news, or the tourist areas, but the real China.

They are proud people, good people, people who love their country.
And the draconian punishments and rules generally work for the people, not against them.
There is far less corruption in their politics, bad guys are generally shot.

For the average Chinese, if you behave yourself, you have nothing to fear.
But break the rules, punishment is swift and often brutal.

I felt safer in China, more so than any other country I have visited
The people are generally happy and willing to share the meagre things they have.

I travelled many parts of China, which can be a beautiful country.
