Another fact that would surprise most people is that the sun is anything but constant. You're undoubtedly aware of this, but familiarity with the 11-year solar cycle would be most beneficial to those who think that any aberration in the sun's effect on Earth must have been caused by man.Outlaw Yogi wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 10:51 pmYes, and it's also long been known from the geological record that the warming precedes the atmospheric CO2 increase.brian ross wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 8:15 pm... it has been long known that increased CO2 does directly relate to increased temperatures.
This is because, as I've mentioned previously but the doomseekers ignore the science, that as the planet warms CO2 is expelled from the oceans into the atmosphere.
90% of CO2 on this planet is generated by zoo-plankton (baby sea creatures) - wonder how many carbon credits I could get for harvesting krill? - As sea temps rise a vast array of sea creatures become more active and increase reproduction in a similar fashion to insects when atmospheric temps rise.
It has been known for eons that as our solar system travels on its 25,980 year elliptic orbit around the galaxy (Milky Way) every 12,990 years we are subject to increased levels of cosmic radiation from a constant planet and star forming cosmic explosion at the centre of the galaxy. This radiation charges up our sun which in turn charges up the pressure intensity of the magma in the Earth. The result is increased volcanism, seismic activity and friction induced heat. As the oceans warm more water molecules enter the atmosphere. That's why there's 7% more water vapour in the air now than when NASA started recording the volume around 60 years ago.
At the same time the Earth's axis shifts roughly 30 degrees every 2165 years, so polar regions move into more temperate zones (thawing the ice) and temperate regions move into polar (freezing over) and tropical zones (warming up). That's why one side of Antarctic continent is warming as the other side is cooling.
Humanity emits 3% of the CO2 in our atmosphere, so is global warming/climate change caused by CO2 or humans? .. because it can't be both.

Re: Climate Change
The Earth warms and cools every one thousand years. And that has been going on since forever. If a naturally occurring warming event occurs with clockwork regularity over a very long period of time, then it is reasonable to assume that the same forces which created every other naturally occurring scheduled warming event in the past is causing the present naturally occurring warming event. Especially since the present naturally occurring warming event is right on schedule and is nowhere near as extreme in terms of temperatures to previous warming events in the past 9000 years.Brian Ross tries again.
Warm periods have occurred in the past. The reasons why they have occurred have varied. Their primary drivers have been solar activity and volcanic activity (or rather the lack there of), Anthropomorphic Global Warming has not been accompanied by either. The increased burning of fossil fuels has produced increased CO^2 and this has resulted in a greenhouse effect. All you are doing, Bogan is demonstrating your gross ignorance of this topic by your continued throwing of red herrings into the debate.
James Van Allen, alone among the worldwide body of Physicists, proposed that the Earth was surrounded by radiation belts. His thesis was attacked by every other physicist on planet Earth as being complete malarky. The "scientific consensus" was universally against Van Allen. Not only that, he was subjected to the most virulent personnel attacks on his character and his reputation to such a degree, that he refused to even discuss his thesis in public again. When pressed, he simply would simply say, "We will see."Briney wrote
500 is a tiny minority compared to the hundreds of thousands of scientists who support the view that Global Warming is occurring because of anthropomorphic driven Climate Change. The number of dissenting scientists contains a tiny number who are climatologists
He was right. The first spacecraft launched by the USA had instruments on board that confirmed the existence of the "Van Allen Belts." "Scientific consensus" does not automatically mean that what they agree to is correct. Especially in this world of Socialised Science, where many scientists, especially in traditionally poorly funded disciplines like Climate Science, are government employees who's dedication to scientific impartiality is affected by their departmental commitments to increased government funding.
Saying that "11,000 scientists" agree that HIGW is a fact, tells us nothing about who these scientists are. If all of those "11,000" "scientists" are Climate scientists on the public payroll, then they can all be easily be accused of a conflict of interest. Especially since the numbers of scientists opposed to HIGW are not a handful, and they are not cranks. At the very least, that points to a scientific difference of opinion. The science is therefore not settled. And running around like chooks with their heads chopped off screaming that "the sky is definitely falling" looks more like an act of pure stupidity than the act of an intelligent group of people.

Oh looky, Brian! Isn't it great! The yellow vested workers of the world have finally united. Against the climate policies instigated by Socialists. When did you Socialists begin to lose your way with the working class you once pretended to champion?

This is a badly hidden deisal generator proving electricity to a campsite infested with HIGW protesters and their tents. There is more hypocrisy in HIGW than if Harvery Weistein turned up at a Rape Crisis Centre to give his support.

Michael S. Hyatt, the Al Gore of the 90's. The amount of public money squandered worldwide on this particular fable is beyond calculation.

One of Brian and NDP's typically mainstream and sensible supporters who believe in HIGW. I am glad he is on your side, Brian. he looks very scientific.
