Al-Baghdadi Dies "Whimpering, Crying, Screaming"
Notorious ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who'd been on the run for 5 years, just caught the down elevator to his own afterlife after U.S. special forces chased him into a dead-end tunnel, where he detonated a suicide vest. Three of his children, who accompanied him, also rest in pieces.
Trump's press conference this morning was classic. He mocked the ISIS leader, saying he "died like a coward," and called al-Baghdadi's followers "losers."
He also said he withheld the information from Congressional Democratic leaders, including Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, until after the commandos had completed their mission and landed in an undisclosed safe place -- because "Washington is a leaking machine."
Gotta love a good spike of the football after a well-earned drubbing of Islamic terrorism! It's a great day for America, Australia and rest of the free world.

'He died like a coward'
The President said "immediate" and "totally positive" test results proved it was Baghdadi, saying a lab technician on the scene of the raid confirmed the ISIS leader's death.
"He died like a dog. He died like a coward.
The world is now a much safer place," Trump said.
Trump described the situation, saying the ISIS leader "spent his last moments in utter fear, in total panic and dread, terrified of the American forces bearing down on him."
Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump declared Sunday morning that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was dead after a US military raid in northwest Syria over the weekend.
"Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead," Trump said at the White House, calling the ISIS leader's removal "the top national security priority of my administration."
The President said a US special operations forces mission went after the ISIS leader and there were no US deaths during the operation.
Several ISIS fighters and companions of Baghdadi were killed, including two women wearing suicide vests and three children. Trump would not provide a specific number of casualties, only describing those targeted on scene as "more dead than alive." Eleven children were moved out of the house and are uninjured, the President said.
The death of Baghdadi marks the culmination of a years-long hunt to find one of the most wanted terrorists in the world and the man who declared a so-called Islamic caliphate in Iraq and Syria in 2014. But it also comes as the US military is pulling back in Syria, a move analysts warn could allow for an ISIS resurgence.
But Trump insisted Baghdadi's demise had nothing to do with the US's recent decision to pull out of northern Syria. "No, the pullout had nothing to do with this. In fact we found this out at a very similar time," Trump said. "No, we're after these leaders, and we have others in site."

A second operation kills ISIS Spokesman in a separate raid ...
Congratulations to all those involved in both raids and whatever else is coming.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/abu-al-ha ... l-baghdadiThe CIA targeted and killed ISIS spokesman Abu al-Hassan al-Muhajir in a separate raid, from the one that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a U.S. official confirmed to The Daily Beast.
“We never stopped patrolling, we never stopped analyzing intel and developing targets. We just slowed down during the Turkey invasion,” the official told The Daily Beast’s Spencer Ackerman. Newsweek reports that as Trump announced the death of Baghdadi, Hellfire missiles targeted Muhajir by Ayn al-Bayda, near Jarablus in Aleppo province.
The operation that targeted Muhajir comes just one day after a raid targeted ISIS’ leader in the Idlib province of Syria, where Trump said he detonated a suicide vest as U.S. forces closed in. Muhajir was named ISIS spokesperson in 2016, according to Newsweek.
Congratulations to all those involved in both raids and whatever else is coming.

I saw this headline from a British tabloid ...
It also makes me ashamed that opinion pieces such as this are even advertised on our news sites.
First few words ...As long as Trump is in power, Baghdadi's death will not necessarily make the world a safer place
Then just a total Trump bash. It makes me feel ashamed and sorry for those who cannot even hide their bias long enough to celebrate a victory that should be celebrated instead of trying to undermine it.It is difficult to contemplate the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi without a feeling that some sort of justice has dispensed, albeit far from ideal.

And your evidence of that is, what exactly, Bogan?
I am actually glad that he is dead - if he is dead.
So, are you going to apologise? I suspect not.

He'll be joined by the Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives who've been trying to impeach Trump for 3 years.
Such a wonderful, non-biased piece of journalism there, 4E?
You are not going to let a chance to go without bashing the Left, are you?

One is a joke (I think). The other is verifiable.
As Wikipedia notes:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efforts_t ... nald_Trump
"Immediately after his inauguration, The Independent and The Washington Post each reported on efforts already underway to impeach Trump, based on what the organizers regard as conflicts of interest arising from Trump's ability to use his political position to promote the interests of 'Trump'-branded businesses, and ongoing payments by foreign entities to businesses within the Trump business empire as a violation of the Foreign Emoluments Clause."

Obama was much more willing to involve the U.S. in foreign conflicts than Trump, who's more into getting American troops out of harm's way, especially in places where the U.S. has no vital interests. Ironically, anti-Vietnam War protesters (then considered liberal) used to say things like "The U.S. should not be the world's policeman," whereas nowadays it's Trump -- considered right-wing -- who's more likely to cite such rationale as a reason to withdraw from global hot spots.
So how exactly is Trump making the world a more dangerous place than Obama, who committed the U.S. military to an intervention in Libya? (A move he himself called his "worst mistake.")

He's not. It's just that a president who stands up for the interests of average Americans, as opposed to viewing his own country as a bully the way Obama did, is destined to be less popular overseas.
