An elderly woman has died months after suffering severe head injuries during a horrific attack at her home in Toongabbie.

Anita Christanga, 78, passed away on Sunday after police found her in a 'semi-conscious state.'

She was transported to Westmead Hospital where she later died.

Ms Christanga was brutally beaten by an alleged teenager intruder on January 25th where she suffered bleeding on the brain, a broken eye socket, broken jaw and broken ribs.

18-year-old Brendan Burton has been in jail since the attack, and had an application for bail denied by a judge on Friday because he posed too great a threat to the public.

The media has been forbidden from identifying this little scum bag. He bashed this poor woman beyond recognition while she was asleep resulting in her death but because someone broke his jaw while he was in Long Bay the Judge has enforced a suppression order.

The little thug was 18 at the time and 20 now so he is, and was, 'of age' and I see no reason why we have to protect this scum. His name is already out there because it is in this old article so why forbid the media from identifying him now?

Actions should have consequences and I couldn't care less if he is bashed in jail. This was an extremely vicious attack on a sleeping old woman/grandmother.

A paedophile who abducted a young girl from a Kmart toy aisle and molested her has been given eight years in prison, but he’ll likely serve a lot less.

Sterling Mervyn Free, 27, lured the girl from the toy aisle of the Kmart at Westfield North Lakes, north of Brisbane, in December last year and sexually assaulted her.

He returned her to the shopping centre more than an hour later. Free has pleaded guilty to deprivation of liberty, taking a child for immoral purposes and indecent treatment of a child under 12.

This morning, Free faced being handed up to 20 years in prison.

However, he was given eight years and he’ll be eligible for parole on in August, 2021.

Maximum penalty is 20 years yet this child raping scum is out in less than 2. Saying he was 'given' 8 years is a farce. We are a joke.

The scientists I saw conducting this research are Americans. I will spew (but I wouldn't be surprised) if Australia followed this path of accommodating the paedo "victim".

A suburban footballer who grabbed a nurse off a Melbourne street and dragged her into an alleyway has been acquitted of attempted sexual assault.

Jackson Williams had been out clubbing and drinking when he grabbed the 39 year old from behind as she walked to work through the CBD early on October 28, 2018.

CCTV showed Williams grabbing the woman in a headlock and dragging her into Healeys Lane as she screamed and struggled.

The video shows him putting his hand over her mouth and throwing her to the ground before sitting on top of her.

Williams fled the scene when an off-duty police officer intervened.

The attack was over in less than 40 seconds.
