I have already stated my opinion on your opinion about the Tiger Helicopter, Bogan. What do you find that is hard to understand about that? Please reread it and if necessary, move your finger along the line of text and read it out loud. Eventually awareness will come, if you try hard enough.

Yeah, I know Brian. The incompetence and probable corruption in the Eurocraptor Tiger affair is so bad it even shocked you. But as a loyal member of he public service you need to close ranks and protect your own. That is what really matters. To hell with the Australian Army and those diggers in Afghanistan who did not get helicopter gunship support because of your public servant mates incompetence and corruption. If you had just acknowledged this small point, that something is obviously wrong with the DOD procurement program that resulted in such a fiasco, I would have grudgingly given you some credibility as an honest observer.
But I think what primarily motivates Brian Ross is his Sir Humphry type dedication to his public servant masters.

Is this the Eurocopter Tiger that supposedly crashed into Sydney Harbour in front of the entire population of Sydney but there are no mentions in any of the MSM 'cause they're all part of the grand conspiracy to swindle the Australian people, Bogan?
Run along. You're wasting our time. Yes, the Eurocopter Tiger has proved to be a failure. Not for the reasons of a conspiracy but 'cause it was a bad design.

So why did the DOD procurement guys spend $14 million dollars more per plane than the Apache, which was a known quantity, and the best attack helicopter in the world, purchasing an unproven design that turned out to be a complete dud? $114 million down the gurgler. By any stretch of the imagination it does not make any sense. Unless.....? Have you ever heard of the Lockheed Affair?

Re: Australia's defence discussion
You have no idea of what the real costs of a Tiger helicopter are, Bogan so please stop pretending that you do. Many factors determine cost most of which are hidden from the public in the form of spares and training.
I have made my opinion known on why the Tiger was purchased over the Apache. I suggest you reread what I have already written. If you have troubles understanding plain English, get back to us and I'll see if I can explain it in smaller, simpler words for you.
There was no crash by a Eurocopter Tiger into Sydney Harbour. There is no record of such a crash. Either admit you were wrong or stop wasting our time.

Re: Australia's defence discussion
I would love to know exactly what we paid for the Eurocraptor because I am sure that we the public have not heard all of the information about this latest fiasco of the DOD purchasing department. Errrr….. which department do you work for Briney?
Well, if it wasn't a Eurocraptor, it was a Lynx or a Seasprite. But I am pretty damn sure it was the Eurocraptor for the reasons I have already given.Brian wrote

None. I am a consultant now, Bogan. I rarely work for Government departments 'cause they can't afford my rates. I have never worked for Defence, either, except as a member of the Australian Army.
Australia has never operated the Lynx or had it demonstrated in Sydney as far as I can find. There were no Seasprite crash either, Bogan. You are wasting our time with your outlandish, bullshit claims. Tsk, tsk.Well, if it wasn't a Eurocraptor, it was a Lynx or a Seasprite. Hey Bogan, my neighbour works as a Public Servant in defence procurement. If you provide source documents for the graphs, I could ask him about it.brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 12:52 pmNone. Lawyers call for reform of ADF's 'discriminatory, unreasonable' internal legal system
Hmmm...
So - unless you are part of a closed group you cannot possibly understand what is going on? Perhaps if they opened it up a little they would get a better class of "legal eagle" and a different perspective upon their narrow definitions of what is legal and what is not (within the area covered by the DFDA) ?
Disclaimer - I have met some extremely good Lawyers in the ADF service (including the odd QC) but I have met some extremely narrow minded investigators from both the MPs and their SIS Branch. They make civvie police look like professionals and good humoured to boot!
