I am just glad we only got about ten inches in my part of Galveston County. Our home is higher than the surrounding area and we didn't flood during Harvey but were trapped and became an island for about two days. None of the flooding covered this time by the Media was in my area.

When I said that earlier, I had visions of my Mom telling me to eat my vegetables because people are starving in Africa and I should be thankful for them. I haven’t figured out whether you are Africa or we are Africa, but it will come eventually.

I use weather bug on my phone. (app). When my son is deployed overseas, I can even see his daily weather. I can even see where lighting has struck the ground in the past 30 minutes and it tells me how close the nearest strike is to my location. I keep home, where my son is, and my current location saved to monitor.

I just looked at Australia on Weatherbug. I can see your weather predictions but the radar map isn’t nearly as detailed. We must not have the satellite service there. The weather in Sydney is perfect for me. That’s a typical December week in Dallas.

Love Sydney weather. Around the end of summer can get a bit humid but then you slip slowly into autumn which is the best season.
In winter, I hardly put on on long pants apart from work. Even on the coldest days I'm in boardshorts and a light weight puffer

Boardshorts, surfing shorts and a puffer jacket is the down filled kind, but the most light weight kind.
