its truly truly gobsmacking what shes told me....and I didnt check her for doing it.. why should I?..we have just seen a whole group of women making $4 mill in ten month from the taxpayers.... and they will probably get 3 months put on hold because they have children...and they can carry on business as usual.... are we fed up to the back teeth reading these cases?.... well I know I am.. so why should I condemn a white person pretending to be an aboriginal...... once upon a time I would have been horrified......

Well cods, you know you can identify as a custom gender (X) on government forms now... so why can't we identify as an Abo? After all, we live in an equal and fair society.

Kids were taken. This has been accepted by the Government(s) of Australia, federally and state/territory level. They have admitted that kids were taken. Funny how, though, they place all these barriers in front of them claiming compensation, yet they don't place any of those barriers in front of the Orphaned kids...

Nothing to do with me, Cods. I am not in charge, anywhere. I was never in charge of Indigenous Australians' welfare (thankfully). I am merely pointing out the gross errors of the past thinking. Errors which you appear quite happy with.

I have often wondered what would happen should I tick the box that asks whether you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. You also get asked over the phone the same thing if you are speaking to a Government Department.

My daughter knows someone who, a few years ago, claimed she was Aboriginal and applied to get into the ANU to become a Teacher. I gather that she got FREE Uni or at least a cheap rate. She is now qualified and teaches. I met this person, once or twice, she was the Mother of one of my grand daughter's friends at Primary School. She is your typical Aboriginal, blond, fair skin, blue eyed, and very well fed.
