New Laws for Paedophiles

Post by Black Orchid » Tue Sep 03, 2019 5:43 pm

The Federal Government is planning tough new laws that could see paedophiles locked up for longer and make it harder for them to avoid jail.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton said it was “every parent’s worst nightmare” to discover their child had been groomed online.

“We are concerned that about one in three paedophiles don’t end up in jail and it gives kids who suffer from sexual abuse as children a lifelong sentence,” he said on Channel 7‘s Sunrise this morning.

Under legislation that could be introduced as soon as next week, jail sentences for paedophiles could be increased, including life for the worst offenders.

Other proposals include making it harder to get bail or parole, ensuring the minimum sentence is a quarter of the maximum term and adding sentences for multiple offences together instead of allowing them to be served concurrently.

The new laws would mainly target online and international sex crimes.

It simply beggars belief that nearly a third of all child sex offenders who were sentenced last year were not required to spend a single day behind bars, despite the devastating and lifelong impacts that their crimes have on their young victims and their families,” Attorney-General Christian Porter told The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday.

Last year around 100 convicted paedophiles walked free from jail and instead served suspended or non-custodial sentences for offences such as grooming and sending indecent material.

Mr Dutton said the legislation was not a “silver bullet” to prevent paedophilia but it would act as a strong deterrent.

“It’s the greatest nightmare for any parent to have their child groomed online by some paedophile,” he said.

“We need to lock up those people that are doing the wrong thing and send a very clear message that it is unacceptable and not going to jail for a crime of this type doesn’t reflect community expectations.”

Mr Dutton said “community expectations” led to the proposal for mandatory sentencing.

Why does it target mainly online and international sex crimes? Yet our paedos on home soil can still "avoid jail"?

International sex crimes? :WTF

in NSW they are going for life in prison for the worst offenders..

just as we release Guider....who I am sure would have made that list...

we have strange laws in this country we actually protect the worst offenders....I bet we spend more more protecting them
than we do our children....

this is the worst case I have read its a DISGRACE AUSTRALIA..

The mother of murdered boy Bradyn Dillon drugged his abusive father’s drink in an attempt to rescue him from further violence, an inquest has heard.

The nine-year-old died in February 2016 after being subjected to beatings by his father that were so severe they were described as “torture”.

On Tuesday Bradyn’s mother told an inquest into his death that she had alerted police, child protection workers, the courts and multiple government departments about Graham Dillon’s repeated physical abuse of their son as she tried to gain custody.

She broke down in tears as she recounted the desperate lengths she went to in late 2014 when she drove from Shepparton in Victoria to Canberra in a bid to get her son back and save him from further physical abuse at the hands of Dillon.

“I put 300 grams of Seroquel in his coffee so he could go to sleep so I could take (Bradyn) without him harming us,” she told the inquest.

Seroquel is an antipsychotic but drowsiness is one of the drug’s side effects.

This was after allegedly learning Bradyn had been taken to hospital for a sexual examination after Dillon had “interfered” with him, the inquest heard.

The mother, whose identity has been suppressed, also told the inquest Bradyn had begged not to be sent back into the custody of his father in a meeting with Victorian authorities in which he said: “Please don’t send me back to daddy”.

He had also screamed in protest when delivered back into Dillon’s custody.

Even in the moment Dillon took Bradyn away he was still threatening the mother with violence, making a gesture that suggested he was going to slice her throat as he took Bradyn away, she said.

Dillon is serving 36 years in prison after pleading guilty to Bradyn’s murder.

The inquest has heard Dillon’s treatment of the boy amounted to “torture” as he had subjected him to repeated physical abuse described as “brutal and cowardly”.

The mother said she had shown officers at Shepparton Police Station in Victoria photos of bullets and a gun sent by Dillon to her in December 2014.

He had posted the photos on Facebook accompanied by the message: ”Christmas presents for you … tick tock bitch”.

She told the inquest officers told her they did not want to “touch” her case as it dealt with federal jurisdiction.

“I wanted (the police) to help,” she said. “Someone was going to end up dead.”

She tried reaching out to child protection agencies in Victoria and the ACT, the Australian Federal Police, lawyers and various courts to alert them to Dillon’s violence but ultimately he maintained custody over Bradyn.

The court heard the mother occasionally smoked the drug ice but never in the presence of Bradyn.

She made calls two to three times every week “to anyone who I could think of who would actually listen to me and help”.

The ACT’s Child and Youth Protection Services were getting “crabby” with her due to her persistent phone calls, she claimed.

She obtained a protection order for her and Bradyn in Victoria but dropped it after Dillon promised to return Bradyn if she did so.

He never did.

we have a VERY broken system.. nothing can excuse this...

There is but one cure for Pedophelia.

Removal of the head from the body

We could farm the task out to the muzzos, they like that kind of thing.

But with so many judges, lawyers, politicians and senior public servants involved in this sick practice.
We will never get them to rule honestly, because it might come back to bite them.

more news on William Tyrrell as the coroners report is coming out at least 3 paedophiles are or were on the interest list meaning they were all living in close proximity to the grandmothers home.....I am not suggesting they did anything but I cant help thinking if it was known they had sex offenders in the neighbourhood people would not leave their children alone...

Grab all three and torture them until satisfied that they didn't do it.

Then do a bit more for the fun of it.

In fact, do it to every pedophile within 2000 miles

Sounds like a plan

History has certainly shown that they cannot be rehabilitated.
