A man has died after being shot in the leg by police on Sydney's northern beaches.
About 9:30pm, NSW Police were called to a house in Ingleside after reports of a domestic violence incident.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Julie Boon said three officers went to a granny flat attached to the Mona Vale Road property after reports a man had strangled his mother.
On arrival, they were confronted by a 53-year-old man with a loaded shotgun, she said.
"Upon entering the granny flat, the man was armed with a firearm and police fired one round into the man's leg," she said.
The man, Jacob Carr, was given first aid and treated on the scene by paramedics before being transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
He died a short time later.

No sympathy from me for anyone who points a gun at the police and gets shot.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 6:11 pmA man has died after being shot in the leg by police on Sydney's northern beaches.

Leg shots can be fatal if you hit the femoral artery, pretty clear this cop didn't want to kill him. That said he should have done what he is trained to do and aimed for centre of torso.
I was speaking to a young cop recently who hasn't fired his pistol since leaving the academy 3 years ago he indicated he would be happy to pay for his own ammo to practice at a shooting range.

Yes and I agree. I was just pointing out that when someone recently declared that Aussie police rarely draw their guns that they were typically very wrong.Baronvonrort wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:44 pmNo sympathy from me for anyone who points a gun at the police and gets shot.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 6:11 pmA man has died after being shot in the leg by police on Sydney's northern beaches.

A second man has been charged with the murder of a soccer player who was shot in the head in Sydney's inner west.

A 28-year-old man, who was shot in the stomach, was arrested and charged with his murder.
NSW Police announced this morning they had arrested a 27-year-old man in Guildford this morning and expected him to be charged over the fatal April shooting.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... vests.htmlStrike Force Raptor has seized $2million worth of illegal drugs and 11 guns during a series of raids on apartments and industrial buildings.
The contraband was seized on Friday after officers swooped on two homes in Rockdale and two industrial premises in Botany, both in Sydney's south.
During their search, police found 7.7 kilograms of cocaine and seven guns hidden inside a false air-conditioning unit above a penthouse apartment in Market Street in Rockdale.
Among the seven guns was an assault rifle and a semi-automatic pistol, which are set to undergo forensic and ballistic examination.
Another four guns, ammunition, bullet proof vests, a kilogram of cocaine and one kilogram of methylamphetamine was then found at a basement in Botany.

Here is a pattern, Black Orchid.
I have a copy of the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics report "Firearm and Violent Crime in New South wales" (issue 57, May 2001) which states that 55% of the handgun shootings within the entire state of NSW occurred within the boundaries of two notorious crime prone ethnic ghettoes. Those being the Canterbury-Bankstown (Arab and Lebanese) sub division and the Liverpool- Fairfield sub division (Arab and Vietnamese). I think it would be fair to assume that almost all of the 45% of the remaining handgun shootings occurred in areas surrounding or close to these two ghettoes, and would largely involve the same crime and violence prone minorities.

But to point that fact out would bring the apologists and islamophiles out of their cave to scream "RACIST, ISLAMOPHOBE" at you.Bogan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2019 5:03 amHere is a pattern, Black Orchid.

They will harp on about "most muzzos" being nice people.
As long as you don't mention the abnormally high crime stats, child marriages, welfare fraud, sexual molestation and threats to everyone not muzzo.
The simple fact is
They are nothing but trouble
A plague on mankind
Every country that has taken them in has suffered for it.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream
