Apparently the Qld government is willing to give parents $150 to help get their
kids playing sport (ages 5-17)
But then again the NSW government has been giving kids $100 for sport since January last year....
Why is it necessary for a state government to give families money to get their kids into sport...
Shouldnt the parents be able to pay these expenses themselves...

Apparently Mitcham Council has reversed its decision to ban Xmas Carols in July amidst protests...
But in Western Australia, the city of Cockburn council is restricting the sale of chips, softdrinks and icecream
by food truck vendors...the reason being given as an attempt to encourage healthier eating....
Isnt this restraint of trade.....
ffs...another council attempting to dictate to the masses....
Incompetent decisions by incompetent bureaucrats..trying to dictate to people what they can and cannot eat...
This is the same council which banned a school from using microphones and playing music at assemblies, all because one
person complained....the ban was later overturned....sheer incompetence.....
Reminds me of schools inspecting kids lunch boxes to ensure that they don't eat a lamington...
And then having the temerity to send a condescending, scolding note home to the parents....

Hurlstone Park Junior Soccer Club in Sydney has introduced a trial....wait for it....
....to stop the parents from yelling at the kids during their matches....
Apparently they are issuing all day suckers as a trial to stop the parents from yelling at the kids by having something in their mouths..true story...no bullshit....
Apparently the trial may be extended through inner western Sydney...
Speaking as a long term junior soccer coach...never had a problem...parents didn't need this control....
An indictment on todays society that we have to get our "parents" to stop yelling at the kids.....
How many parents these days want their kids to be the champions they never were themselves.....
I read last year that Penrith Junior Rugby League was implementing a plan to have security guards at junior league
matches to stop parents from yelling abuse at the kids and the referees and fighting with each other on the sidelines...
The plan was to be introduced throughout Sydney I read...don't know if it was.....
Maybe sport in Australia is just going to the dogs....
Lets just get them all to play with the phones all day....

We will now pay 42% of the purchase price of beer in tax.
This coupled with the 70c in each litre for petrol taxes is bloody ridiculous...
