However, there is a clear difference. Today, people are still alive who took part in/observed Genocide being undertaken against Indigenous Australians, whereas there are none alive who took part in/observed the events of 50,000 years ago - if they occurred at all. The present Indigenous Australians could have simply interbred with the previous inhabitants and absorbed them into their own population. There is simply no evidence either way as to what occurred, whereas there is ample evidence as to what occurred between Whites and Indigenous Australians.
