Brian is not happy with the rules here or the way I administer them so this thread is devoted to these issues, if anyone else has them.

Please keep suggestions and/or criticisms to this topic and this topic only!

What one person sees as constructive criticism or 'truth' others see as personal insult/abuse and then retaliate etc.

PA is not a place that will ever be censored into oblivion but please have your say. My view is that if you can't stand the heat don't hurl the insults. If you do hurl insults you have to expect people to respond in kind. Some people keep their cool and others don't when they respond. Everything TOO out of order gets a reprimand but we are also adults and as adults should display at least some degree of self control and restraint of our own without having to be constantly censored.

I have made my position clear.

Rules if they exist should be enforced equally.

Black Orchid has made it clear several times now that she will not enforce the rules against those who choose to insult me.

I can stand the heat, I am annoyed however that some posters appear favoured over others. If the rules were applied equally, all would be protected.

If Black Orchid does not like my style of posting, tough. Until she warns me officially, I will continue to treat her the way I always have - fairly but sternly - the same way I treat all posters.

Brian there is NO rule against insulting people and if there were such a rule you would also be an offender. There is, however, a rule about saying nasty things about a member's family and you are upset that I pointed that out.

What I find interesting is that you believe the rules which exist being enforced turns this into a "Gulag", Black Orchid. Have you always had problems with obeying the rules?

I didn't ban you for denigrating a member's family so I don't know why you are complaining. What part of what I have already said do you not understand?
