Why does one group of Australians deserve a second 'voice?'

Perhaps 'cause their first one has been ignored for the last 200+ years?

Perhaps simply because all their voice says is

"GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME"

One Australia for all, no more abbos vs whites.

I dare you
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

I disagree. Whitlam did not ignore that voice and no PM since has. That voice is still there and is heard. It does not need to be given a useless special Constitutional Chamber to be heard in at all.

Well I didn't read it either, for the simple reason that you're a lot like long time nuisance factor ex member "Arsie" who like you often posted links with no text from it quoted, which upon clicking on turned out to be malware or simply a waste of time.

Y'see we've had a long held custom here at PA where we post the title of the subject/issue, a link to it if available, and quoted text/s from it the poster deems relevant.

So if you genuinely want members here to take notice or even/actually read what you are trying to bring to their attention, I suggest/advise you follow this simple custom.

The only reason I now know what the issue is about is because others have commented on it.

From one of your replies (BR) I'm assuming you're taking the common misconception that the current Aboriginals in this land were the first people on this continent, which DNA, anthropology and paleontology all dispute.

The current Aboriginal people in OZ are at least the third group of people to have migrated to this continent.
They came from India and Burma between 5000 and 4000 years ago, and displaced those already here for the same reason every other conquering people on this planet have - superior technology.

When the current Aboriginals came they brought the ability to light fire, throwing spears aided by woomeras and dingos.

I had a Koori forster brother (Eddie) and my longest defacto relationship in Qld was with a half Murri woman (Sandy).
To me they're just people like the rest of us, and see no reason why they need special rights, victim culture or not.
I know a bloke who is half Spanish and half Armenian Cypriot, but now identifies as Aboriginal because he gets freebies for it.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Really? Really? I wonder why I'm not surprised that your spouting bullshit like this Yogi. You really are full of it.

I am well aware that there were at least one if not two previous migratory waves to Australia. The last arrived approximately 50-60,000 years ago. My sister was involved with the discovery of Mungo Man who was buried approximately 50,000 years ago in 1974 as was my ex-Brother-in-Law. With Mungo Man's remains were discovered several items of interest, including the remains of a fire. His body was sprinkled with red ochre and is the earliest evidence of such funeral practices. He was from the "gracile" group Indigenous Australians, along with the Cow Swamp remains. This group arrived before the current group of Indigenous Australians by about 10-15,000 years.

So, we have evidence that they knew fire, that they more than likely had spears (from other remains) and they engaged in burial ceremonies and left various artefacts with their dead. They were here well before most white archaeologists considered before their discovery. They were here, well before you believe they were. How unsurprising.

Lucky him. The problem is that to be identified as an Indigenous Australian, you must be recognised as such by other Indigenous Australians, Yogi. So, unless he's paying someone to say he is Indigenous, either he or you are bullshitting. Indeed, the bullshit that surrounds Indigenous Australians always amazes me. They don't want extra rights - they just want their own rights to be acknowledged. Now, if you had actually read Mungo's article, you wouldn't see any demand for "extra rights". All they want is acknowledgement that they once owned Australia before the white buggers came and took it off of them.
