There is no evidence of any of that actually occurring, Black Orchid. No Life Guard ever came forward to make a complaint, no women did. I don't doubt it might have happened in a minority of situations but was that sufficient justification for a riot in response? Was it justification for the beating up of innocent passers by who just "looked Middle Eastern"? Was it justification for the beating up of women and kids - who more than likely were the only ones the bogans would dare attack? Was it justification for the stoning of Ambulances and Ambos? As much as you're trying to justify law breaking, it was law breaking. I have never attempted to justify what the Lebanese did in response. I have attempted to explain why it happened though. There is a clear difference, to anybody it seems except an Islamophobe.

New South Wales Police Minister Carl Scully is seeking advice on whether to appeal against the community service sentence handed to one of the men involved in the attack on a lifeguard that sparked last year's Cronulla riots.

Yesterday, 18-year-old Ali Osman from Bankstown was sentenced to 300 hours community service after being found guilty of assault and affray.

Last night, Mr Scully met with Police Commissioner Ken Moroney and asked him to investigate the prospects of an appeal.

He says the punishment should have been a jail sentence.

"To give him a 300-hour community service order, particularly in regard to what it then contributed and caused, is disgusting," he said.

"He's obviously off celebrating, uncorking the champagne bottles.

"He probably thinks the whole process was a joke, I don't think he'd be worried at all and that really disgusts me."

The State Opposition has also criticised the sentence as too lenient.

The member for Cronulla, Liberal MP Malcolm Kerr, has called on the Government to release the police report into the Cronulla riots and the subsequent violence.

Mr Kerr says the report was completed in August.

"We're now at the end of September, it still hasn't been made public," he said.

"It's important because people have a right to know just what happened on the Sunday and in relation to the retaliatory raids."

No women harassed eh?

The left-wing, politically correct mainstream media had a field day blackening Australia's reputation following the Cronulla riots.

Tension had been building for months as gangs of Lebanese swarmed on to Sydney's Cronulla beach, jostling elderly patrons, abusing Australian families and threatening to "rape Aussie sluts" for wearing bikinis. They did not come to enjoy the beach in the Australian tradition. They came to flout their disrespect for Australian culture and for Australian law and order.

Matters came to a head the previous weekend when two young Australian lifesavers were bashed by a Lebanese gang.

Following a series of text messages, 5,000 Australians turned up on Sunday December 11, 2005 at Cronulla determined to "reclaim the beach".

I used to live in Sydney
I used to swim at Cronulla beach on a regular basis, easy to get to by train.
But you had to walk the dreaded walk through the Lebbs to get to the beach.

They harassed all and sundry with insults, assaults and sexual molestation.
They disappeared in seconds when the police came doing what they do best, running away.
The attack on the life saver, a person who was actually 1 million times more the man than any of these dead shites, was the final straw and they knew it.
They all jumped in their overpowered cars and.....you guessed it....RAN AWAY.

I am not justifying anything I am stating facts and I don't really care where your mind wanders, Brian, we were talking about the Cronulla riots and they were the violent Lebanese gangs who started it.
