Oh, I remembered, a guy I knew was a horse gambler.
He had a system that included the time the horse did the last 400M or 100M in the last few races in.

Sorry I can't remember exactly what he did, or how his gambling went !!

Yep, I used that theory on the trots when they ran at Harold Park...
I figured that the quickest early sections from good gates and the quickest final sections
suggested the horse could do it at both ends. I gave betting on the trots away when they moved out to Menangle
as the track is too fair...therefore any punting advantage at HP was lost...
On another point...I was lucky enough to get 100/1 for a long range double...
Verry Ellegant to win the Caulfield Cup and the Storm to win the NRL GF..(just an STD bet..something to do..)
Im only a small punter and only bet for entertainment....
Remember paying for most of my furniture through a daily double just after I was married...
Contrary to the belief of some kill joys I think that there are two types of punters....mug punters (learners)
and those that win....and although I dont believe racing is squeeky clean, I think its a lot cleaner than when
trainers of yesteryear were around.....these days racing connections only have to scratch their arse and the
stewards are onto them with all the tests etc and the cameras at track every five yards.......
Some people garden...I gamble.....cheers....

Well said.

One of the guys I okay bridge against is a retired gambler. He is good at bridge, continually thinking and 'working out the odds.'

MR6 Prezado may be the only bet tomorrow..other rides are all long odds...need a few scratchings…

I read an article written by a Chinese punter once who suggested that horses which are seriously blocked
for a run last start don't use their built up energy in that run and should be considered the next run if within
seven days in a sprint race as the energy is still there......certainly applies to Prezado tomorrow as it was blocked for a run and had no room in the straight on Saturday at Flemington...although it hasnt won since Melbourne Cup Day 2017....
One of those yeh.. no.. maybe bets...
Wet track doesnt help...

MR6 Prezado….
Wasn't a bet as it blew like a gale out to $5/$6
Missed the start from the wide gate, settled well back and flooded home to run 3rd...
Might win a race one day, but I don't think Ill be on it...
MR3 Snipfit however was a bet at $4 and led until the home turn...kicked 2L clear
but then compounded like a hobbled duck at the 200 to finish well back...Williams probably went a
bit hard early to lead...nothing left at the business end... perhaps not a good ride...don't think its much good....
Be a while before it starts favourite again....
Has a full book of rides on Saturday, including some good mounts.....
