Why the world is rooted.

Dear Texan,
your heart is in the right place but
you want America to return to the
policy of isolationism.
That didn't work before and caused WW2.
Hitler was able to ignore the treaty of Versailles
and overrun Europe.

The world needs a global policeman and
American taxpayers will have to pay for it.
If not the next big war will destroy the
whole world including America.

I pointed out the downside of my desires in my last paragraph. We can't afford to continue to be the world's police force. Monetarily or in human life. I'm not talking economic isolationism. I'm all for free trade. I just don't want to pay for the world's security. The world can help out a little if they want the benefit. Not only are we doing the bulk of the security, we are taking the blame when something doesn't go right. Is it too much to ask for help?

If the United Nations could get every country to sign
an arms reduction treaty so that after say
5 to 10 years no country could threaten any
other country then it would work.
However - history has shown that it will never happen.
The arms industry is one of the largest in the world.
No country will follow any treaty.
