Horse racing system

Post by billy the kid » Tue Jun 18, 2019 8:07 pm

Being a horse racing buff, I thought Id share this "theory" with anyone that's interested....
Back horses ridden by Craig Williams and Hugh Bowman at metropolitan race meetings.
Currently Williams is riding, but Bowman has taken a holiday until the end of July.
If they are riding interstate or a stand alone meeting, these meetings are included.
The rules are as follows:

Horse must be $4.40 or less fixed price with SportsBet just before the jump
Horse must have had five race starts
No maidens
No bet if horse is running against an odds on favourite
Horse must have won a race in its last seven starts

I generally bet with SportsBet and BetEasy as they have a money back in the form of a Free Bet
if the horse runs 2nd or 3rd. SportsBet usually covers the first few race with this offer, and BetEasy
allows the punter to use the offer on races of their choice.

Tomorrows possibilities:
MR2 Skyway Star currently $3.30
MR7 Vitani currently $4.50...might not be a bet....
MR8 Evil Cry currently $2.90

Since 1.12.2018...
42 winners from 85 bets
Profit on turnover +50.7 units....(does not include refund bets)

Not a lot of bets...just thought Id post this for something to do.....

Ive never bought a system, although I used to subscribe to a magazine many years ago called Practical Punting Monthly.
If you took out a years subscription, they gave you a free system, complete with all the results going back maybe a year or two.
The systems never worked as they were all back fitted into a series of rules which window dressed the results.
I just subscribed as I was interested in reading a racing magazine...the magazine is now peddled as an E magazine...cant believe they are still printing and rehashing the same old crap....
My theory is not back fitted.
I originally noticed that Williams and Bowman were riding a lot of winners about the beginning of January, so I looked back for a month and saw that the bulk of the winners were at a short price...I have been backing them since then...have always been a punter...

I went to school with Bart Cumming's son. His advice was that betting on horse racing is a mug's game. There are so many ways to fix a horse so it doesn't run as well as it should. There are also many ways to fix a horse so it runs better than if should. Many of them are undetectable by the stewards. Horse racing is for the owners and all the associated people. They are the ones which make money out of the venture. Everybody else loses eventually more than they put in.

Sounds good.

About 40 years ago we trialled betting on quinellas betting on the jockeys.
A better jockey gets better horses.
It showed promise, the human element was the weak link.

Using the jockeys, we had a selection of about 8 jockeys to bet on.
things have changed.
you'ld probably delete the races where one of those jockeys was paying under odds on, races where over 4 of your jockeys were in
targetting quinellas offered a better return.

Ill post these just for something to do....
Three possibilities for tomorrow.....
MR2 Flying Krupt currently about $3.10 (just qualifies...won seven runs back)
MR6 Connery currently about $3.30
MR8 Sure Knee currently about $3.00
Williams has other rides, but they need scratchings to reduce in price.....
All these are a bit short, but as we know, the gutless bookies only really start betting about five minutes before the race....
Good luck to me/us.....!!!

2 winners from 4 bets today.
Flying Krupt ran poorly, as I thought it would on the wet ground..shouldn't have been that short...
Connery ran poorly (again)...probably needs a spell...
Both these didn't seem to want to stretch out on the wet ground...
GoTrash led all the way and was backed in to start short...I got $4
Sure Knee bolted in as I thought it would..bookies diddled us with the deduction for the late scratching..
$2.50 became $2.00
