I also don't like the continual use of the term "monkeys" that some use with reference to anyone black.
Only when referring got Somali monkeys.
That's because, well, they are in fact less than monkeys.

I guess it's an insult to monkeys to brand Somalis as monkeys.
The only other trek that applies is vegetables, probably more applicable she comparing IQ.

Ok, let's call Somalis, mobile vegetables, happy?
Whilst we do have a problem with young Somali/Sudanese gangs here that needs to be addressed tout suite they aren't all bad. My son has a friend at Uni from that area and he is one of the nicest boys I have ever met and he is met with constant taunts and abuse due to the bad behaviour of a few. He's dedicated and smart and is doing Engineering.

People aggressively try to fight him (and his white friends) and he gets kicked out of clubs because he is black and I really fear some idiot will target him in the extreme just because of his colour.

I blame the police for trying to sweep this young 'black African gang' mess under the rug. It has been allowed to fester for way too long and has now made people stupid and jaded against ALL young people 'of African appearance'.

So no it's not ok. Target those who are to blame and not those who are trying to embrace Australia and get ahead.

You call it, "sweeping it under the carpet," Black Orchid, I call it, "acting responsibly and proportionally" to the problem they are facing. Black gang members are young, irresponsible and invariably male, yet when you read the comments by some, they are all a problem, from toddlers to old age pensioners. They just want to deport them all, without regard to their guild or involvement in any crimes that have occurred. The Police have been trying to make the community see that the tabloid reaction is disproportionate but it seem the mob mentality that talk back radio and the tabloid media has engendered continues. Funny how we have some of the worst applications of that mentality here, all the time and you, personally get upset when I call them and you out on it...

Victorian police DID sweep it under the carpet and certainly did not act "responsibly and proportionally". Sydney police did, however, call it for what it is. Black African gangs!

People are allowed to express their feelings whether you agree with them or not, just the same as you are. Your problem is that you "call out" people making pertinent points in discussion and start to pull out your bag of phobias and label everyone no matter what is being discussed and in an attempt to censor and halt discussion.

Balance and comprehension of what is being discussed is the key Brian.

Do you live in Victoria, Black Orchid? I don''t but I seem to have recieved a different message compared to the one you wanted, which engendered racism and hatred, right? The Victorian Police treated it proportionally - to what it was at the time - and then later as it became worse, treated that also appropriately.

No, I don't. I want discussion to be rationale and sensible, not based upon Racism and hatred simply because people have different coloured skin/shaped eyes/thicker lips/frizzy hair. You even get upset at some of the language they use and you have the hide to criticise me for calling out their attitudes for what they are! Talk about hypocrisy.

My views are balanced and quite comprehensible, Black Orchid. Yours? Less so. You don't like the use of certain words but are quite happy it seems to tolerate the rationale which they use to support the use of those words. Talk about being strange. Correctly identifying a sentiment for what it is, is against the rules, according to you...

Where have I eve said that Brian? Link please?

Just because you, or anyone else, purport to "identify" people with insulting labels does not make it "correct".

If you post something that is Racist in sentiment, that means you're a Racist, Black Orchid. You post something that is Islamophobic, that makes you an Islamophobe. Simples really. You don't like your views being correctly labelled, then all you have to do is change your language, Black Orchid. The labels are not insulting, unless you believe they are, Black Orchid.

The words don't worry me, Black Orchid. I am neither but you can call me those if you believe my language amounts to that. You're an Americanophile and a Trumpite, aren't you, Black Orchid or are both those words insulting to you?

How about we get back on topic rather than trying to make this into a game of one-upmanship?
