Do you have an issue with how land owners chose to use their land?billy the kid wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 3:19 pmhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deed_of_Grant_in_Trust

What do you expect to see in a remote community with a population of 1289 people? Highrises and casinos?
What development would you like to see?

They seem to have everything they need on a community. They have a school, a retail store, Doomadgee Rural Hospital, a post office, police station, airport. They even have a music studio.
They are starting infrastructure projects aimed at an upgrade to the water dosing and monitoring systems and a risk assessment of one of their reservoirs as announced by the State government in 2017.
In 2006 Aboriginal Development Benefit Trust (ADBT) and the Doomadgee Shire Council invested in the Doomadgee Roadhouse, a 100% Aboriginal owned business. The ADBT invested $1.5 million to establish the Doomadgee Roadhouse. The Doomadgee Shire Council contributed $300,000 for fuel infrastructure. Although they contributed cash to the project the Shire is not a partner. It employs 14 staff, 12 of whom are Aboriginal.
They've invested in accommodations for tourists in the form of one-bedroom kitchenettes with ensuite.
What more should they do?

Sorry it's just an unexpected turn you took there. the inhabitants spend most of their time either belting their family members to a pulp, being totally paralletic,
being locked up for illegal transportation of alcohol, being released to go and transport more illegal alcohol.....
