When I joined the Commonwealth Public Service in February, 1986, I had to pass Top Security Clearance because of documents I might see - Cabinet in Confidence and the like. I understood that, should I divulge anything to the Media (or others) I would be in breach of my employment "contract" and suffer dire consequences which could include investigation by the AFP. Obviously, I didn't tell anyone what I saw.

Whistle-blowers may think that they are being helpful but they ARE breaching their "contract" and should get what they deserve due to tittle tattling or sour grapes with the "government" or whatever.

NOBODY is above the Law, including the Media and Politicians.

Oh and the AFP is NOT run by The Government.
