One terrorist act from a foreigner and the progressives expect a whole country to hand over their guns without a quibble yet the very same people totally ignore all the islamic terrorist attacks both here and worldwide daily and the thousands upon thousands of people killed and maimed in these attacks and expect us to still open our arms and borders to them.
How the hell are they going to force 250,000 people to hand over their guns?
This will not end well.

Well, there have been exactly zero Muslim Terrorist incidents in New Zealand. New Zealand has only suffered two Terrorist attacks that I am aware of. The first was by the French, the second by an Australian. Looks to me on that evidence, like they need to stop European, nominal Christians from entering their country first and foremost...
What I find interesting is that you all have chosen to ignore what Wally posted. Seems sensible to me, that the Kiwis are waiting to see how they will be compensated before handing their firearms over...

I very much doubt that the majority will just hand over their weapons. Time will tell.

Feminists will force the government to act. Like in the US.
The one that says the least can often have a very different perspective and hold the answer. The least qualified person may hold the most wisdom. When you don’t have knowledge or experience blocking your perspective, you can see problems and solutions.

If I was over there I'd obey the law no matter how much I disagreed with it.

Found within Black Orchid's article.
New figures show gun owners are holding back on handing in their firearms, because they're waiting to hear how much the Government will pay for them
Figures released to Newstalk ZB by the New Zealand Police showed that, as of Sunday night, only 530 guns had been handed in since the ban on semi-automatic guns was finalised in early April.
There are around 250,000 licenced firearm holders in New Zealand and it's estimated as many as 300,000 guns could now be illegal.
It comes as gun owners are waiting on any details around compensation for their guns.
That is a very relevant issue not commented upon.

I assume from that you still think I am Aussie. I do not understand your reference to 'taxi driver' but apart from that I am flattered.

I wonder why they banned the video of the shooting incident?

What is there to wonder about? Did you want to watch people being murdered?

I wanted to see how good their CGI was.
Turns out, not very good.

4) BULLETS FIRED AT WINDSHIELD LEAVE NO HOLES OR SHATTERED GLASS
After the gunman finally leaves the mosque, he gets back into his car. While driving away, he shoots at the car’s windshield three times. Strangely, the bullets leave no marks on the windshield — no bullet holes, no smashed glass — as you can see in the GIF below and the pic of his arrest by police.
