his inability to express himself is well, I have to say, rather typical for many Americans.
What absolute rubbish you spout. Chip/shoulder again.
Yeah, sure, Black Orchid, sure. I've met Americans from all walks of life and all sorts of people from high-level academics down to ordinary working people. I suspect you've only known the top end of town mates that you usually associate with, right?

You are being intentionally obtuse. Trump is talking about going to the Moon as a means to get to Mars.
I think the key criticism is his inability to recognise what he tweeted a few weeks earlier, Tex. His claim that the Moon is part of Mars just illustrates his ignorance and his lack of English expression. I find it interesting that you're willing to let him off the hook because of his multiple mistakes. You appear unworried that he doesn't seem to know his arse from his elbow most of the time.
I’ll be the first to admit that Americans aren’t as expressive as British or Australians and I don’t care.
Aj, yes, Churchill's excuse hey? "Two peoples, divided by a common language..." Tex, his inability to express himself is well, I have to say, rather typical for many Americans. I've met American university professors who had problems talking to ordinary people sensibly. However, I am more concerned about your willingness to forgive me his "Policy" (and I use the term loosely) foibles. One day he endoursed, heartily NASA plans to return to the moon and in another, he suggests it's a waste of time. I wish he'd get his story straight.
Speaking of NASA, I noticed on last nights TV news that the agency is now promoting low-level orbit space tourism, in order to "go back to the moon". Do you like the idea that a Government agency needs to ask for what are essentially donations to achieve it's objectives, Tex?
That’s really smart to let “space tourists “ fund space missions. I don’t care how we reach objectives as much as that we succeed in reaching them. If you want to get hung up on appearances, knock yourself out.

Brian you know nothing about me or my 'mates' so stop presuming that you do.
Yes you met a muslim once and an American and you think that makes you an expert.

No, it doesn't, Black Orchid. I have served with/studied with/worked with many Muslims over the decades. What it does is it makes me more of an expert than you with your one (1) Muslim you admit to knowing.
As for Americans I have served with/worked with many Americans over the decades. Does that make me an expert? Nope. However, it does mean I have met a variety of Americans from many different walks of life.
