Land holding in Australia

Land is generally referred to in two overarching categories:

Freehold land (including forms of freehold land tenure that are held by traditional owner groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land)
Non-freehold land or Crown land, which may either be leased or licensed.

The government doesn't care about trees which is why they are clear felling forests and allowing land developers to also clear everything in sight.

They don't care about animal habitat either.

What I find interesting about the responses to my comment is that none of you appear to have understood what the response to such legislation in Queensland and NSW and South Australia was. Farmers continued to clear land with out authorisation, claiming that it was "their land". Of course, that ignored that it was actually leased, not freehold land and was actually owned by the State or Commonwealth. Large tracts of land were cleared and several farmers prosecuted, until the Toris got into power and rescinded the legislation which created this imbroglio. Funny that, hey? The Tories actually like to clear land unworried by prosecution...

So you blame the Tories for clear felling of our trees
and destroying the environment to make a quick buck?

Yes and no. I actually blame the cockies who believed they owned the land when in fact they only leased it. I blame the Tories for allowing it to occur, Bobby. That is, if you want to point the finger at anybody...

Why are lefties so against the use of renewables resources all of a sudden? :?

I guess it's just their base instinct to demand authoritarianism kicking in to overcompensate for what they lack in other aspects of their own miserable and pathetic lives. :hush

There is no such thing as "renewables". They can't produce enough electricity with solar and wind mills. So they use coal to produce these "renewables". Then they say our cars are "green". Fucking wrong. Electric cars get charged with the coal and nuclear they burn, and not all countries have nuclear.

I wonder if leftys want to not make their own decisions ?

Tony Abbott wanted to plant Millions of trees but he got howled down by lunatic leftist, socialists leftwing media and other forum grubs.

Most farmers that I've known are greedy and stupid.

They see clearing trees out of their paddocks as more land to graze.

They couldn't give a stuff about the well-being of their cattle.

All they see them as, is, Ka-chinggggg !!

and thats why they fail.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Malcolm Turnbull set to axe Tony Abbott's Green Army environmental program

Australia's environmental sector wants the Turnbull government to explain its plans for significant changes to major programs, including savings of more than $350 million from axing the Green Army - Tony Abbott's much-hyped employment project.

Environment and Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg all but confirmed reports on Monday that the government's Expenditure Review Committee had decided to kill off the program in this month's budget update, saying savings were required from across government.

Established after Mr Abbott's 2013 election victory, the Green Army was designed to use the manpower of up to 15,000 unemployed young people, aged 17 to 24, for conservation projects in every state and territory.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said he wouldn't comment on the project's demise before the mid-year economic and fiscal outlook statement, due on December 19.

What they do is make a bit more money for the first 5 years and after that
the land slowly gets ruined until it's a barren dust bowl.
They don't care about the people and animals that will have to live there for next 100,000 years.
It's short term greed.
Humans really can be the most nasty creatures on this planet.
No other animal can do that much damage.
