Why cut down every tree?

It's really awful isn't it? Same thing happens here.
We have planted a forest out the back of our house. It is a soothing balm when we get home.
Just had a platter out there tonight for dinner, again.

Am thinking of doing the same out the front.

It's a good thing you're doing. Too bad city personnel thinks otherwise... Here, a freshly cut lime tree in Varna, Bulgaria. On the second photo - a gypsy has just cut a 50 or more year old tree by the order of the municipality. Official report stated that the tree was cut down from tree trunk because of two broken core branches at the base of the crown and emergency removal was assigned to not cause incidents, omg...

Kids aren't interested in The Environment (trees and stuff) these days they are scared of Climate Change and the fact that the World is gunna die in 12 years .... plus, instead of planting trees they are learning how to change their "sex" and share toilets and so forth. Just as well there are some SENSIBLE parents out there who can direct their kids away from the current rubbish.

In the front could be a social centre for the neighbours.

Build one with a fire pit so if any neighbours accidentally step on a shrub or squash a bug, they can be immediately tossed on the pyre as a sacrifice to Gaia while creating a warm toasty atmosphere for other guests without the need to murder trees for firewood.

The government doesn't care about trees which is why they are clear felling forests and allowing land developers to also clear everything in sight.

They don't care about animal habitat either.

What I find interesting about the responses to my comment is that none of you appear to have understood what the response to such legislation in Queensland and NSW and South Australia was. Farmers continued to clear land with out authorisation, claiming that it was "their land". Of course, that ignored that it was actually leased, not freehold land and was actually owned by the State or Commonwealth. Large tracts of land were cleared and several farmers prosecuted, until the Toris got into power and rescinded the legislation which created this imbroglio. Funny that, hey? The Tories actually like to clear land unworried by prosecution...
