What was Labors message ?

Post by sprintcyclist » Mon May 20, 2019 11:25 pm

So they said their message was too complex.
In other words, ' ....... the voters are too stupid, 'cause it sure was not the alps fault ...........

Well, I heard your message loud and clear. I did not like it. Same as many others who vote.
You are wrong. The voter is right. The voter is always right.

What did anyone else hear about their message?
What was their message?

Shorty's message was that the Govt. can take your money and that's the law.

But don't be confused - the Libbos can enact laws and do the same.
Death taxes and land tax is still there waiting one day to be implemented.
We already pay rates which are determined on house value not on the
value of the services provided -
that's communism.
The more money you have the more the Govt. takes.

I heard his message to be :

1/ He will give the UN $500M of our taxes.

2/ He will assign a 'Sexual Orientation' Commissioner.

3/ He will revoke dividend imputation.

4/ He will revoke negative gearing.

5/ He will lower our emissions at an unknown cost.

6/ He and the Greens have a thing against mining.

7/ He refused to answer questions on funding.

8/ He will 'strengthen' section 18c.

So, overall, more spending of our money. More taxes, less freedom

I work with an elderly Gentleman who was a bit fired up Monday Morning when I walked in the door for work.

He had a Message for Shorten and Labor.

"If you come for our Super and Saving of us Seniors then look out, we'll put you back in opposition"

This was the most animated I've seen him in regards to politics - pretty quiet before that.

Overall this is a trend for conservatives - they stay quiet (due to loudmouthed leftist bullies) and then HAMMER you at the voting booths.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Interesting, on the radio they had a talkback about 'Why you voted how you did.'
Many callers were senior and had always voted labor. This time they voted for the liberals.
People like that, they might not change back to labor. It is going to be a lot harder to get them to vote for labor again ever.

They are actually calculated on land value which does not include 'improvements' ie your house and other structures.

We are told they calculated based on the UCV on the property, but in reality, I feel that rates are always increased
by individual councils based on how much money they need to run the gig.
If they want a bit more money for capital works or whatever, they just put the rates up..nothing to do with UCV..

Labor's message was one of fiscal responsibility. They didn't promise surpluses which more than likely will never be delivered. They said they would fix the energy mess the Tories have produced. They said they would increase the amount of renewables that Australia would use to produce energy. They said they would tackle climate change. They said they would investigate the Adani mine more thoroughly. They said that they would make corporations pay more tax. They said that they would end Negative Gearing and Franking credit tax dodges.

These policies were plain and clear in their advertising. The failure of Tories to understand them is more the Tories' fault than the ALP's.
Nationalism is not to be confused with patriotism. - Eric Blair

The people of Australia quite obviously understood them better than you!
