I was a bit annoyed no one brought up ADANI during their debates...

shorten was never put to the sword on that one....

you cant keep chanting CLIMATE CHANGE and talk about jobs at the same time...

the govt of today have a duty of care......job security has almost gone out of the window...yet some folks expect them to destroy jobs overnight..

and when we keep being told Australia doesnt do enough.. doesnt care enough....it makes me so angry...

no matter if we all stop doing tomorrow..stay home in our tents it wont change a bloody thing....

I think we do pretty well to be honest... other countries are buying coal...if we dont sell it someone else will....

it wont be long before the world is past using coal..... but until that time...

Overseas News outlets are Laughing at the Labour (Labor) FAR LEFT Party - Can't believe they got so close to being elected!
THUNDER DOWN UNDER: Far Left Labour Party SUFFERS SHOCKING LOSS in Australia After Holding Several Point Lead in Polls

The conservatives (named the Liberal party) in Australia pulled off a stunning upset in the national elections on Saturday.

The Liberal party is leading with 74 seats and the far left Labour party won on 65 seats.

The Labour party was ahead by 8 points in the polls.

Just like in the United States the media was hurt the most.

The far left Labour Party ran on getting rid of coal and skyrocketing energy costs.

The exit polls showed Labour party with a lead.

They got shellacked.
"Far left" Labor Party? Really?
Sure could have fooled me, mate. Typical for America media to get it wrong, hey?
Yes really

The Labor party as it stands today is far far left of the traditional values it once had - they know they can't win an election without the GREENS and thus have to take on their policies in grubby backroom deals.

IT makes me sick that the Fake New Media hasn't called this out.

Shutting down our coal energy networks across Australia making energy prices skyrocket

Shutting down Industry

FORCING everyone to drive stupid expensive electric cars

TAX TAX TAX AND MORE TAXES.

Radical Socialist agendas - Forcing kids to become Trannys

more Taxes taken off those who have worked their guts out for a better life and a few bucks only to have it stolen

another 35 Billion theft of our Superannuations

Billions stolen from our savings in shares

and the list goes on.

The only trouble with Socialism is that it collapses when you run out of other peoples money that you have stolen.

and yes

all of ht above is FAR LEFT Radical Socialism of the Labor/Greens coalition.
Right Wing is the Natural Progression.

Speaking on Insiders yesterday, Labor’s deputy leader Tanya Plibersek conceded the party’s policy agenda was too big.

“Our policy agenda was big and it was bold, and perhaps we didn’t have enough time to explain the benefits of it,” she said.

Ms Plibersek also said the policy agenda was “sometimes hard to explain” — particularly complex issues such as the scaling back of negative gearing and scrapping of franking credits.

“We had the option of having a whole campaign based on the chaos and disunity of the last six years — the three prime ministers, the three treasurers, the fact they all hate each other,” she said.

“We had a really ambitious policy agenda that deals with the big issues.”

If you cannot explain your policies do NOT roll them out and tout them. Simples!

Phelps IS gone!

The progressive left is all about the blame game which makes NONE of these hopefuls a viable leader. They need someone new who lays the blame where it belongs. With Shorten, Bowen, Plibersek, Wong and Albo.

A Labor insider told news.com.au on Saturday night that booths with voters dominated by those aged 65-plus punished Labor with double-digit swings against the party.

Scrutineers reported people in areas struggling economically — such as Queensland, Western Australia and the country — backed Mr Morrison’s message on a strong economy and jobs.

I honestly cannot fathom how they could not have expected that.

As Labor prepares to replace Bill Shorten in the wake of the party’s shock election loss, an unlikely contender is considering entering the race.

Hunter representative Joel Fitzgibbon, who hung onto his seat despite a 10 per cent swing, said he was not prepared to rule out running for the leadership if Labor didn’t match his concerns about representing the regions and its working class base.

“The Labor must reconnect with its blue-collar base and get back to the centre, and be less ambitious in its pace of change,” Mr Fitzgibbon told ABC radio this morning. “People are inherently conservative in Australia and any change has to be orderly and steady, and needs to be explained to people.

“We need to stick to the sensible centre and push reform in an incremental way and in an orderly way and properly explain why change is necessary to people. You’ve got to be able to take people with you.”

Mr Fitzgibbon managed to retain his seat, which he has held since 1996, with 32,000 votes.

The coal-country NSW seat saw the highest One Nation vote in the country, with more than 18,000 voters — roughly 20 per cent of the NSW electorate — voting for the far-right party’s candidate Stuart Bonds.

This was barely 2000 votes less than the Nationals candidate Josh Angus.

Don't know anything about Fitzgibbon but, like I said, they need someone new and in touch and not still tainted by the old Rudd/Gillard/Rudd days like the rest are.

Fitzgibbon sounds like he could fit that bill. Excuse the pun

it is a sign of their total arrogance.
they believe everything they say must be correct, they do not listen to anyone who says otherwise
