Tim Conway passed away today. I knew him best from the Carol Burnett show, but remember him on McHale's Navy reruns.

Tim did pretty well at 85 too. So many have died recently in their 60s so it's nice to see others go well beyond that.

They said in breaking news that he was Australia's longest serving Prime Minister. That is wrong!

He was Labor's longest serving PM. I met him several times, once at the urinal in old Parliament House back in the 1980s. He shook my hand (after he'd washed his) and wished me well in a job interview. He knew my father. He was a great man. Vale, Bob. :(

I didnt like the way he treated Hazel... it seems to be a Labor thing sadly..
