Income tax cuts, franking credits and negative gearing explained

Post by Black Orchid » Mon May 13, 2019 10:09 pm

How much tax you pay could change depending on who wins this year's election.

The major parties are locked in political brawls over franking credits, negative gearing and tax cuts.

well all that confuses me but as it doesnt affect me I guess i dont have to understand it..

however I am not happy about robbing retirees to reward BIG BUSINESS like Pathologists ..who coincidentally make large donations to the Labor party...

I find that more than tacky....

do UNIONS pay TAXES?...I believe they rake in huge sums and yes even invest in buildings....... if a retiree invested in property I am sure he/she would need to pay tax or at least rates......it would be interesting to know... if they do not pay these taxes......what they would be paying if the rules were changed..

they can hardly be called a non profit org... when they spend so much on elections....

that would be like the Red cross getting involved..and spending like GETUP...

Its simple cods.

if Labor get in it’ll be a Trillion Dollars in New Taxes....

When you die... instead of anything going to your family, Labor will take it and piss it all up against the wall..

Nothing would surprise me with Labor! Bullshit Billy is throwing BILLIONS of dollars at everything in sight and if Morrison mentions something, Bullshit Billy says he will match it. What a dickhead and stupid people think the money is kept in a large vault at parlie house or on the money tree in the courtyard! :b

We pay more than enough taxes during our lifetime so I will NEVER back anyone who expects to take more when we die.

Labor says its modelling shows an extra 200 Billion..

But Treasury has done the figures and its nearly double @ 387 Billion...

The real number will be much higher than that..

Take a look at the NBN...

IT was going to cost 20 Billion... we are now at 55 Billion and counting..

It’s only at 55 Billion because the Liberals are doing it cheaper.. god knows how much it would have cost under the original Labor plans... 💯 Billion?

And what difference has the NBN made?

Has one business anywhere in Australia employed one more person because of the NBN?

No...

Is your internet even working fast than the old ADSL2?

No...

55 Billion pissed away down the drain...

I suppose we could have the Tories just give away 80 Billion to the Top End of Town, instead, hey?

"Better money managers"? Yeah, sure, guess who's given us more debt than we have ever had in our 118 year history as a self-governing Dominion? The Tories.

I suppose we can give away to various politicians millions of dollars in water buyback money, and see them send it off to the Cayman Islands to avoid paying tax on it. Yeah, that's really smart, hey?

God you one-eyed Tories are really, really, weird. You'll believe any bullshit you hear about the ALP but turn a blind-eye to the realities of what your Tory Government has tried and often succeeded in doing!

I have only seen severe criticism and abject horror here about the whole shocking fiasco. I think Brian, LW and Red reside in an alternate universe :b
