Socialism is not for the lazy. Socialism is for the sensible. It ensures that everybody who needs help receives it freely and equably. Capitalism just rips off the poor, the needy and feeds the greedy.
And you don’t vote greens and claim to be a centrist. FFS!
Like you, "Nicole" I have wide political views. I recognise the difference between what I would like and what is achievable. Do you?

I’m all for helping the disabled, but the lazy can starve as far as I can care. States are much more efficient than the feds. Our 10th Amendment states that anything not specifically assigned to the feds is the responsibility of the states or individuals. That is completely ignored by the feds here. We have state and federal redundancy and it is expensive. I think over half of our federal budget is wasted on programs that should be handled by the states. The US is over 10 times the size of Australia. They can’t do anything efficiently.
I suspect that is because the US is poorly organised - far to decentralised and inefficiently organised, Tex.
Even Texas is bigger than Australia. California has 40 million people.
Bigger?

The land area of Texas is - 695,662 km²
The land area of Australia is - 7.692 million km²

Looks to me like Texas is a substantially smaller area, Tex.

The Population of Texas is - 28.7 million (2018)
The Population of Australia is - 24.6 million (2017)

Population wise we're are roughly equal.
We agree 100% on toll roads. The only reason I use them is because my company pays the tolls.
Toll roads are of the Devil, mate.
Of course it’s less organized. The US has 10 times the population and a porous border with 2 countries. I was talking population. We have the entire population of Australia in illegals bringing poverty, disease, drugs, and crime. How do you organize that?

Errr, by not getting overly excited about them and exaggerating the number of illegal immigrants resident in the US? According to this webpage, there were 12 million there in 2018. As you can see above, we have a population which is twice that total.

As to how to organise a national government so it is efficient, well most other developed countries seem to manage the task, so I'm unsure why the US has so much difficulty with it. Western European countries seem to do an adequate job. Australia, New Zealand, Canada do adequate jobs. Perhaps you need to look around you a little more and see what other countries are doing right and compare it to what the US is doing wrong?

Numbers vary on the illegal population because nobody KNOWS the population. Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are tiny. Do they even have more people than California? Why do Canadians come to America for joint replacements? Because socialized anything sucks. Socialism encourages laziness by guaranteeing something for nothing from those who are forced to work extra to provide. I’m paying $1100/ month for healthcare and the illegals and lazy get it for free along with the truly disabled from the taxes I pay.

I have no idea why Canadians go to the US for joint replacement operations, Tex. I know that under Australia's semi-Socialised medical system, my son cost me nothing when he was born and spent six months in ICU at the hospital. In the US, I don't doubt I would still be in debt and be paying off his bill twenty years later. You are entitled to your ignorant ideas even if they are well, ignorant, Tex. However, your ignorance is your own devising. Afterall, you've been offered education and you turn your back on it. Why? Is it too difficult to learn the truth?

Ignorance is immediately going on the attack instead of encouraging debate imo.

It is laughable that the resident moron lectures us about ignorance...but then again,
after all...he is the self appointed "voice of reason"....
No credibility whatsoever..but still babbles on, insisting that he knows everything
about everything...when in actual fact, he knows sfa......

That is an extremely ignorant and hostile post for no reason Brian.

I agree. And too many of us do it.

I rather presume Tex is more educated about the land of the Stars and Stripes than Brian.
