They are not as honest and morally robust as they once were.

But unless you bring yourself to their attention, they generally leave you alone.

Unlike muzzos who will kill or attack total strangers just for the hell of it.

Haven't had teenage boys for awhile? I found certain cops constantly rousted and harassed teenage boys just walking home from school, making them take their shoes and socks off just in case they had a minute amount of weed on them.

Mine had an accident on his motor cycle on a deserted road with no-one else around. No other cars or people involved. He was badly scratched up so I went and got him and left the bike parked on the side of the road temporarily.

10 minutes later the cops are at the door wanting to charge him. With what?

The younger cop kept rolling his eyes at the older cop's bullying ways. Slow night I guess.

Too many of them now are just assholes.

Coppers have always attracted the bastards of society.

My Sister once witnessed some coppers beating up a protester at a moratorium march (she was just standing on the footpath as the march went past). She actually testified against the coppers in court. They were done, well and truly. This was way back in the 1970s.

I have witnessed police abuse several times over the years. When I was living in Adelaide in the early 1980s, I witnessed the cops harassing some young men for nothing more than parking on the street. Another time, in Canberra, I knew of a young man who stubbed his shin on the tow bar of a parked car and swore, as anybody would, just as some coppers were walking past. They arrested him, took him back to the station and beat the crap out of him. Why? 'cause they felt like it. Another time, in outback NSW I witnessed some coppers harassing some Indigenous Australians who were not doing anything wrong, except sitting where the coppers didn't want them to sit. Police are often real bastards.

I'm no supporter of the police.
In fact, I feel that far too many of them are corrupt to a larger degree.

But in my 60 years, I have never been harassed by cops, ever.

And yes, I have not been a model citizen.
I have been and done many things I can honestly say I'm not totally proud of.

But never harassed.
My son was a loud mouth idiot as a youth.
He brought himself to the cops attention and has been arrested and even temporally incarcerated ( long story, he was innocent, but known to the cops and therefore a suspect)

cops are human.... just like firies and ambos...

every now and then a fireman is charged with being a firebug...

I have never heard of anyone claiming all firies are firebugs.....

and NO not all cops are bad guys......in fact its very very much the other way..

check how many die in the course of their job....it is an extremely high risk job...

Yes Cods the far greater majority of cops are good people, whom I respect very much for what they do. No-one is saying ALL cops are bad but equally not ALL are good either. People are human no matter what their profession. Anyone remember Roger Rogerson?

In ALL positions of power there are those who use that power for the good of the people they serve and those who use that same power to control the people they serve. There are always exceptions.

You see it everywhere in all professions. There is never a 'no-one' does this or an 'everyone' does that scenario and, as I said, I have a great deal of respect for the majority of cops. I wouldn't take on their job for anything.

It's like when islam is criticised and then you get accused of hating ALL muslims.

As parents, they are incompetent...
As employees, they are lazy..
As sponges, they are experts..
Its as simple as that..
