I have never felt unsafe in the US. Not ever.

You wouldn't be, in the POSH areas, Black Orchid. Now, if you'd gone down to the ghettos you'd have a very different feeling. If you'd been a male and you'd gone down to the deep southern states, you'd also have a different feeling...

If she were to go to downtown Dallas and walk from the parking lot to the inside of a restaurant, she would be more safe because of concealed carry because criminals can't tell Black Orchid from Mrs. Texan and wouldn't take the chance that she is armed. They would wait until she left a Dallas Mavericks game, a bar, or a concert venue because they know that she can't legally carry a gun there. That's where you try harder to stay in crowds until you get to your car.

How many people have you know who have been shot(murdered by any means) and over how many years? Live in or near a big city or high crime area?

Zero. I don't even know of a single person who's been a victim of major crime. When I in my 20s and going clubbing regularly I know a few people bashed by Lebbos (but that's a different story all together.

I also live in a scary part of town. Just last week I was waiting in line at the artisan bakery and bought the last quinoa and soy sourdough loaf, and the hipster behind me had such a look of disappointment on his face, I reckon if he had a Glock in his pants, he'd have put a cap in my ass and taken my bread

I was 31 when I knew my 1st loss to violence. The church shooting - Cassie was 14 years old. The shooter wasn't religious, he was just a nutcase who killed 7 people and then killed himself. Cassie was his last victim and only because she peaked over the pew to see if the shooting was over. I grew up about 2 miles from the worst area of Dallas. My suburb was well policed and safe, but it has gotten worse over time and I'd love to see my parents move from there.
