I blame "compulsory" voting (yes, Bwian, we ALL know that ). Most people care less and only vote because they could be fined (still only $20 in a Federal Election, differs in State Elections).

Lots of people only watch The Evening News for the weather and sports results. Hip pocket effect with the ads ... "wow, Bill is offering FREE dental" must vote for him" types. NOTHING is FREE ... to pay for all this, Bullshit Bill has to sell something, perhaps, or borrow more money from China, or something. Perhaps he is just being a fuckwit, thought he had the PM-ship in the bag and suddenly finds that is not the case. He is looking pathetic.
