Well they told the voters in 2013 prices would be cheaper and they've had 16 variations of policy and prices skyrocketed, what is their policy?

Or are you going to blame renewable subsidies rtards, instead of the elephant in the room screaming from investors "what is your energy policy? " and why would we plow a cent in whilst you cant even make a decision amongst your own party

If you can't answer that do you deserve 2 govern?

My answer 2 what is libtards energy policy ? Oh I know they don't have one, they haven't for last six years and when it's all said and done and people realise the injustice your Muppet's have perpetrated on this country being a leader in renewables , attracting great minds and exporting the intellectual property I hope a seething anger creeps in and the general idiot who votes regressive never does again.

REDUCING EMISSIONS
Australia will meet its global emissions target (of 26% to 28% below 2005 levels by 2030).

We have an obligation to protect our environment for future generations. We must also ensure a strong economy, so the next generation can find jobs.

Our Climate Solutions Package will help achieve these objectives. Specific initiatives include:

A $2 billion Climate Solutions Fund. This will help farmers, small businesses and Indigenous communities reduce emissions, lower energy costs and improve the natural environment. This will build on the success of the Emissions Reduction Fund which has delivered 193 million tonnes of emissions reductions.
Constructing Snowy 2.0, which will be the world’s second largest pumped hydro renewable power station – providing 175 hours of storage – enough to power 500,000 homes.
Backing a second interconnector, to bring renewable power from Tasmania to the mainland. This will help Tasmania be the Battery of the Nation.
Developing a National Electric Vehicle Strategy to help the transition to new technology.
Helping households and businesses improve energy efficiency.
The Cleaner, Greener Local Communities initiative. This will support local communities to reduce emissions and improve air and water quality.

INVESTING IN RENEWABLE ENERGY
2017 saw investment in renewables in Australia increasing by 150%, to record levels.

Australia’s $11 billion investment last year in clean energy placed us seventh in the world (third on a per capita basis).

Last year was also the biggest ever year for rooftop solar installation. One in five Australians now has solar panels on their roof – one of the highest rates in the world.

Renewable energy will reach 23.5% of Australia’s electricity supply by 2020.

Snowy 2.0 and Tasmania’s Battery of the Nation project will help make renewables more reliable, providing 24/7 power to households and businesses.

Our plan for affordable, reliable power includes: a price safety net to protect customers; big stick legislation to stop energy company rip offs of customers; and a technology neutral program to underwrite new reliable energy generation.

This builds on previous measures to lower energy costs, including: requiring power companies to provide better deals; securing priority gas supply for Australia; and putting downward pressure on network costs (which are passed on to customers) by stopping the energy networks from gaming the system.

Our plan for affordable and reliable power is getting results.

From 1 July 2019, we will permanently get rid of the ‘loyalty tax’ and lock in better deals for nearly 800,000 households and small businesses.

Households will save up an estimated $479 per year in South Australia, $696 in NSW and $660 in South East Queensland under a direct market offer.

The savings delivered build on the price cuts of up to 15 per cent secured by the Morrison Government for more than 500,000 families and small businesses from 1 January 2019 – and our ban on sneaky late payment fees that will save some customers up to $1,000 a year.

To further support pensioners and many other Australians we are providing $365 million for Energy Assistance Payments to help with energy bills – $75 for singles and $125 for couples.

During six years of Labor Government, power prices doubled and went up every year.

Now, Bill Shorten wants to replicate South Australian Labor’s 50% renewable target on a national level, which will mean higher electricity prices.

Labor also wants Australia to go far beyond the rest of the world and cut carbon emissions by 45%. This would damage our economy and cost local jobs.

Independent modelling shows that Labor’s 45% Emissions Reduction Target and 50% Renewable Target will cost the economy $472 billion, slash more than 336,000 jobs, cut the average wage by over $9,000 and increase wholesale electricity prices by more than 58%.
