I just made a batch of Anzacs and had the oven turned up too high. Now they are a little on the charred side ARGHHHHH!!

I don't have anymore butter to waste making a second batch. Oh well. That'll teach me.

Mum used to make Anzac biscuits .... Arnotts variety are nowhere the same as home made!

Oddly, Anzac Day doesn't do a lot for me .... none of my rellies went to war. They were doing stuff on the Home Front, I guess. Apart from the fact that they were either too old or too young to join up.

I find it very emotional to be honest.... an awful lot of young men and women are doing their best to keep us safe TODAY.. they wear a Uniform I trust they are proud of and I am proud of them....and I feel we should show that once a year.. its only ONE DAY out of 365...a day of RESPECT

your family members may not have been in the fields nef but those who remained behind did their bit lets not forget that.....even knitting socks was a godsend to those who had none.... and the ANZAC biccy would have been a blessing in the trenches.......you nef have a very good life because of those who went to WAR... we mustnt forget that!

I realise that, Cods. My family were mostly "primary producers" so they did their bit too .... supplying food and resources for the rest of Australia.

we dont have massive people migrations to worship a "God" at a temple......


we just have a remembrance day to say LEST WE FORGET... and that means everyone
although the sacrifice of life it paramount.......they all did their bit...

Bad day all around starting with a flat tyre. Fast track to the cab I caught home. It's the first cab I have caught in a very long time. Huge Arab driving but he was clean and so was the cab, although it was old.

3 kms and $15.80 later I hand him cash and he was horrified. He demanded I give him a card and said ...

"Why didn't you tell me that you didn't have money!"

What the hell is cash if it isn't money? Is cash really no good anymore?

After an altercation I finally handed him my card and was charged an extra dollar for doing so. So I said ...

"How dare you refuse cash just so you can charge me more by card"

He called me a BLEEP idiot woman so I returned serve with you BLEEP Arab BLEEPwit.

Almost $18.00 to travel 3 kms. I will NEVER catch a cab again. Not ever!

I should have just gotten out and walked away. Aggressive jerk. I am still shaking.
