PRINCE Charles has spoken out about the persecution Christians face across the world in an emotional Easter message, in which he also reacts to the Christchurch mosque terror attack and knife crime in the UK.

He noted many have been forced from their homelands, and offered his support and prayers. Prince Charles is in line to succeed The Queen as head of the Church of England. His message focused on the importance of forgiveness.

Writing in The Daily Telegraph the Prince said: “Over recent years I have made a point of meeting Christians from other countries, and those of other faiths, who have been persecuted because of their faith.

“In many cases they have been forced to flee from their homelands.

“It is estimated that 245 million Christians worldwide have faced persecution.

“Many of them have been attacked and made homeless.

“I have been immensely moved and humbled by the courage and dignity of those I have met.”

The 245 million figure comes from Open Doors 2019 World Watch List, and represents an increase on the 215 million Christians the group claimed faced persecution the year before.

He commented: “They have impressed me deeply by their lack of bitterness and by their desire to return to their lands to live in harmony with those of other faiths.

“The Easter message, with its emphasis on the timeless and universal values of forgiveness and reconciliation, gives hope to us all whether we live by faith or not.”

The first in line to the throne also used his article to condemn last month’s Christchurch mosque shooting by a far-right gunman, which he described as “utterly appalling”.

Prince Charles loves Islam. He wants to change the monarchy from “defender of THE faith” to “defender of faith”. Big difference there.

Former President Barack Obama, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and several other leading Democrats denounced terror attacks on what they called “Easter worshippers” — not Christians — Sunday in Sri Lanka.

Suicide bombers murdered nearly 300 people and wounded 500 more in attacks on three churches, three hotels, and a housing complex.

Many were killed as they attended Mass for Easter Sunday. The government reportedly suspects that the bombers, all Sri Lankans, were members of “a domestic Islamist terror group named National Thowfeek Jamaath.”

Yet Obama, Clinton, and other Democrats — including 2020 presidential contender Julián Castro — could not bring themselves to identify the victims of the attacks as “Christians,” calling them “Easter worshippers” instead in eerily similar responses: ..........
