I did all my travelling overseas when I was young - Europe and the UK - Canada and the USA - had thought I might do some more travelling when I retired but that got overtaken by other events. I am long past it these days. Ah well.Gordon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:07 pmHey Red, you're talking to someone who has a holiday like this on the drawing board.

Canada is really beautiful but I wouldn't do it on a ship. You won't see too much of it lol.

I have seen the train thing on the tv and it looks pretty awesome. No idea how many stops you get though and/or how long you get to look around.

I've been bikless for ages, I just won't ride one in Sydney while I have dependents. I actually haven't done that much touring in Australia as I was into the sports bike thing, but I've ridden from the bottom of Thailand to the top of Vietnam, all through Laos, Cambodia and did the Indian Himalayas (dont tell Aussie)Redneck wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:13 pmWow!Gordon wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 4:07 pmHey Red, you're talking to someone who has a holiday like this on the drawing board.

That sounds really good Gordy, but maybe I am a bit old now although still own a bike!
I have toured every state in OZ a number of times on my various BMW bikes except WA and NT.
Great times Gordon! even towed a little trailer complete with tent etc.

Re: Holidays ?
I volunteer for a well known water rescue organisation in my spare time.
One weekend we received an urgent call from a small cruiser
Apparently all on board were too sick to move.
We headed out to rescue them and found them quite quickly
It was the boat that had people hanging over the sides.
We had to put one of our crew on the boat to steer and took them all back to the mooring, we then had to ferry each of them to shore.
We were on a lake!
The boat was barely rocking.
This was their maiden voyage and they had never sailed before.
We thought it might have been grog or food
But they had not eaten before they set out and had nothing to drink.
They were simply NOT SAILORS
Half a million dollars of boat and they could not sail
.
We have been out in 8 metre seas in a 10 metre boat
Its actually quite fun, but not for everyone.
And, we have some absolutely brilliant skippers and crews
Experienced, skilled and very able.
One day I hope to get my cockswains ticket, but that's years away.

I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Re: Holidays ?
Well I am off for nine days tomorrow on my cruise!
Gordon will be green with envy!
I will be sipping cocktails and dining luxuriously daily!
Meanwhile all you lot will be here whinging about lefties and muslims. I tried to get you all beating up on the jews but that didnt work.
Brian will be lecturing you all on racism etc! Good to have a conscience onboard Brian even if it pisses them all off! LOL
LOWIQ will be head banging as usual!
Anyhow cheers!
