The US is bizarre. No other word describes it. Americans take their own responsibility for their own security. Muslims are entitled to mount their own patrols to ensure the security of Muslims without bias.

I read about these sharia patrols some time ago...I suspect its just another "test" to ascertain how much sharia can be
introduced into the population, where it will succeed, and where it wont...just like the islam which is being taught in some
US schools under the very noses of the Americans...of course with two islamic dog whistles in Congress, one could expect the US
to be well exposed to the infestation of islam throughout the country..I await the result of the trial of mohammed noor, the scum who murdered Justine Diamond ...

Its just another way that islam gradually chips away at western values and replaces them with islamic values.
Reverse the situation and attempt to police patrol an islamic "no go" zone somewhere and see how far you get...
