The Kiwis are idiots for letting any dickhead buy an AR-15
especially when 30 shot mags are everywhere.
And it only took one Australian to fuck it up for every one lol
I'm still looking for a reason why anyone would need an AR-15
with a 30 shot magazine?
I can imagine only the army, police and SWAT teams protecting us from terrorists
and also big game hunters getting rid of feral pests such as wild horses, camels & deer etc.
As for those professional hunters -
will that mean that they can't get hold of the right firearm they need for their job?
With a single shot weapon they might only badly wound an animal & not be able to get
in a 2nd or 3rd shot to finish the job quickly.
That means incredible animal suffering - hardly the intended consequence.

I could be wrong:
https://www.news.com.au/world/north-ame ... 251ad7e0f0
Ms Ardern said people could hand over their prohibited guns under an amnesty while officials develop a formal buyback scheme, which could cost up to $NZ200 million.
She said there would be “tightly regulated” exemptions for some owners, such as hunters and farmers.
The Government said the police and military would be exempt. Access for international shooting competitions would also be considered.

Not everything in life is based on need Bob, If the vehicle you owned was purely based on your need to get around the city we would all be driving Ladas

Well - that's true -
why do we have cars and motorbikes that can go 300 km/hr?
The speed limit is 100 km/hr on most open roads -
one road is 110 km/hr in Victoria - the Hume highway to Albury-Wodonga.
That is also dangerous however, guns are deliberately designed to kill -
especially military style weapons -
that's why I support Jacinda's new laws.

I no longer have any military type weapons in my possession, so it doesn't concern me either way, But they are fun to shoot,,

I've fired guns and been around other people firing guns
and I was less than impressed with their use of safety protocols -
I would call them damn idiots.

Yes - I've seen someone climb over a wire fence on a farm with a loaded rifle.
I've seen someone firing at a duck that was flying trough the air without regard to people around him -
so that the people had to dive on to the ground.
I've seen people walk along a farm with a loaded rifle & their finger touching the trigger -
if they had stumbled the rifle could have gone off.
I got fed up with crazy people who didn't listen to one word of the safety training -
so I stopped ever going hunting again.

I've seen truck drivers with a full load of petrol speeding through city streets
I've seen bus drivers rampaging down the road intimidating other drivers
I've seen obviously drunken fools driving all over the road
Guess who would do more damage
Your point ?
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

There were certain people I wouldn't hunt with , and some I would prefer weren't walking behind me
