I dont know where Australia would be if it wasnt for immigration.

we are in a bind right now maybe for the last year or so...technology has changed the world completely including us..

and maybe a slow down has been coming....but on the whole it is what has kept the country turning over all this time....

construction would come to a halt for one thing...small business wouldnt survive..how many times do we buy a new stove or lay new carpet...not often enough to keep them going......I am a little surprised about Dick Smith he made his fortune importing Chinese or Japanese technology and selling it to thousands of newcomers that streamed in back in those days... Dick has a short memory maybe....

I am not a migrant but I am a newbee....was born and raised elsewhere I feel I have contributed to this country we had 3 kids they have produce 6 grandkids..which I am always bragging about...all also doing their bit for this country...
