Last night I watched a show called 'Abused by my Girlfriend'.

The young guy, Alex Skeel, was stabbed, starved, hit with a hammer, forced to swallow sleeping pills, had boiling water poured over him etc etc etc. When it finally came to light the doctors said he only would have had another 10 days to live. She made a fake FD page (which is still up as Alix Thomas Skeel ... with an i instead of an e) where she cut off his family and pretending to be him told them all how much he hated them and to leave him alone.

So why did he put up with this? The kids! He was terrified what she could do to the kids.

He really did seem like a very nice young guy and I hope he can move forward to a better life with someone who isn't psycho. She actually got 7 years jail and has become the first person in the UK to be convicted of the new offence of 'controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship'.

I have a friend whose son was constantly abused by his partner and he stayed because of the kids too. It happens!

to think she will be out in 7 years OMG...

another person damaged for life he was 10 days away from death....his body will never fully recover..

such a lovely guy as well....I wish him all the best with his two beautiful babies....

In 2017, 149,248 incidents were reported in England and Wales — double the number in 2012.

I joke a lot about being a pincushion or being henpecked. Maybe I should reign that in a little. Abuse is no Bueno no matter where it comes from. And my wife can't really outshoot me, at least not yet.

Unfortunately domestic abuse is about a 50/50 split.
I knew someone who worked in this area.

Women often publicly humiliate their husbands. Behind closed doors, it will be a lot worse.

I think thats one of the major differences when it comes to DV......women are more inclined to be the murder victim...

Oh shoosh everyone....dont we all know that its always the mans fault...besides we all have to realize
that men and women are equal (when its suitable) and besides...women have to be empowered, promoted, employed, loved and cherished.......Ive seen it on TV...the subliminal message is so blatantly obvious....men are no longer important....
and they wonder why theres so much domestic violence....the respect between men and women has declined rapidly
in recent times...why...you tell me....isnt it obvious...men and women just cant get along any more...I wonder why....

that men and women are equal (when its suitable) and besides...women have to be empowered, promoted, employed, loved and cherished.......Ive seen it on TV...the subliminal message is so blatantly obvious....men are no longer important....
and they wonder why theres so much domestic violence....the respect between men and women has declined rapidly
in recent times...why...you tell me....isnt it obvious...men and women just cant get along any more...I wonder why....

oh poor you.... women are used to being UNIMPORTANT its been their lot for a long time..

but no one said its always the mans fault D.V that is....

of course it isnt we dont teach the young how difficult it is to live with someone else... we expect them to know...

a lot of blokes are pushed to violence I get that..... and so are a lot of women... however it isnt really in a womens nature to kill....we have been given the job of incubating a baby for 9 months that takes some doing...it also give us the gift of nurturing .. so killing isnt something women like to do even killing the chook for dinner...men tend to take it in their stride...and lets face it we would all be dead if they didnt.....

when it comes to killing each other I think men are leading in that dept...it isnt being mean its stating a fact......

Billy my honest opinion is we have lost a lot of respect for just about everything.....look at what we throw away today just for starters.. we value nothing so it stands to reason relationships would suffer as well...
