The Catholic church has had countless opportunities to clean up their act -
they have failed.
The only way to solve this is to close them down.

On the matter of Catholic churches closing down, I can only speak of our local Ballarat community, and note my own observations in many of their younger members leaving their churches in droves and joining our more progressive and dynamic church communities here in Ballarat.
I attended catholic schools myself, and whilst I escaped unscathed, I have nothing but absolute empathy for those who didn't, those who are survivors of institutional, and non institutional child sex abuse which is not only apparent among the catholic church.
I pray that this brings finality and closure to all those devastated by this tragedy.
Interestingly, neither Bolts mates Howard or Abbot have said much on this sad affair.
I'm certain that those who look at things they aught not look upon, and touch things they shouldn't touch either will be served justice by not being able to see or touch , or even smell for much longer.
God knows how to deliver justice.
God is good.

No need Bobby, new progressive churches are taking these churches one by one, the only parents who send their kids to Catholic schools these days are devout Catholics or the parents of underachieving students the better independent schools have either knocked back or who's parents cant afford, sadly.Bobby wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 3:49 pmbelchabeerdown wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2019 2:25 pmIt is very hard to believe that the Catholic Church will collapse but on the other hand it has to do a lot of cleaning up, and address the basic causes one is the unnatural celibacy matter.

Theres alot of "difficult kids" entering the catholic school system now too, seems they're less selective and demanding of baptism and sacraments also, whereas they demanded this when I went through back in the 80s and 90s.
I guess beggars cant be choosers now afterall.
Unfortunate, but this needed to be brought to the surface and justice needs to be served.

The Govt. can just make a law & confiscate the Catholic schools
& turn them into public schools.
Any teachers of good standing won't have to lose their jobs.
Kick the dirty priests out of it.
It's that simple to solve it.
