Overlords concerned

Post by Valkie » Fri Mar 08, 2019 6:01 am

230,000 Victorians didn't vote.
Could it be that the people have lost faith in every political party?
Could it be tgat they see this as a reason to protest?
None of the parties truly represent the people, so people do not care anymore because they know their vote don't count.

But, this is also a warning sign to our overlords
It starts with ignoring the problem, not voting.
But as numbers grow, people will begin to become angry and mass together.
The revolution is the final outcome

Our overlords are worried
But it has not stopped them from grabbing some cash while they are at it
Nearly $2.3 million is up for grabs.

BRING ON THE REVOLUTION.

The 230,000 Victorians who failed to vote at the November state election are being asked to please explain or risk an $81 fine.

Those who have failed to vote will receive a notice in coming days, asking them to provide a detailed explanation as to why, electoral commissioner Warwick Gately says.

Mr Gately stressed the notice is not a fine or penalty and the Victorian Electoral Commission will consider if the reasons, which must be supplied within 28 days, are sufficient and valid.

"If you respond to the notice, you are much more likely to be excused," he said.

People who ignore their notices will receive an $81 fine.

Voting in state elections is compulsory in Victoria.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

"Compulsory" voting! Plus they get slugged $81 for not just getting their name marked off the Roll down there. I checked with the AEC and they still only want 20 bucks if you can't be bothered voting in the Federal Election. Almost cheaper than the petrol you would use to get you to the Polling booth.

I didn't vote in the last Federal Election but had my name marked off the Roll. Might do the same this coming Election ... not sure, yet.

Too many people aren't bothering to vote now and that is causing an even worse problem. We will never make changes and/or try to keep them clean if we don't vote. Only voting will make a difference even if that means more independents which is certainly not ideal but it does send a message.
