Well, of course, I detest paedos too but I don't believe Pell is guilty 'beyond a reasonable doubt' (not because I am right of centre LW). I think he is a scapegoat and the real target of their wrath is the church itself. I don't believe he would even have come back to Australia if he were guilty.

Now if it was that smarmy Archbishop from SA, Philip Wilson, I might even join Bobby in wanting to hang him.

Pell's conviction just smells and I am sure it will be tossed out on appeal. I will be surprised if it isn't.

I get more angry about baby murderers who constantly get a slap on the wrist and are allowed to go on and produce more babies....for them to terrorise I get unspeakably angry about their sentencing....but NO I would never call for a hanging...its against all the principles of our country....we live here we accept the laws of the land....

.if Pell loses his appeal I am sure the judge wil hand down a jail sentence.....in the mean time Pell is in jail...he has lost everything....his character is shredded..and nothing will undo it..........and yet one trial said he wasnt guilty the second one said he is.....to me thats conflicting....

I would rather have the benefit of doubt and be proved to be wrong

than condemn someone.. who is proved to be innocent...

too many questions hang over this trial...t isnt as straight forward as all those who claim guilt say!..

I think Pell is playing this as a martyr, asking his Lawyers not to go ahead with a bail application until the sentence is announced. He wants to demonstrate he is Jesus like and turning the other cheek and so on.
