Exactly. I agree. Let's wait for the Appeal.Serial Brain 9 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 1:15 pmI have just read the evidence against Pell in Bolts report in the Sun and based on that evidence, and that of the testimony of others - i would say he was not guilty of that crime - or at least, based on the evidence, its not strong enough for a conviction.
Other accusers of Pell over the years have been flat out lying as well and when found out dropped their cases.
Pell has been vilified by the Press over the years and maybe people think that this could be an easy meal ticket for them. I don’t know.
But if Bolt is right, and gets a fair hearing when he appeals, i think the case will be overturned.

I have never, ever been a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Some people on these forums were and they consider themselves "lapsed Catholics".cods wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 5:25 pm

The Roman Catholic Church is "under a cloud" because they will NOT allow Priests to be men who have sexual desires. Some Catholic Priests have had affairs with parishioners. Why can't they just be normal males and get married, if they wish?
A large percentage of the male population is curious about a variety of pornographic material. Undoubtedly some females are as well. Priests, obviously, don't sit around all day reading the Bible and praying. They are male and there is enough bullshit in The Bible for anybody with half a brain to want to Google. Curiosity killed the cat.

I also think Priests should be allowed to marry. Vowing celibacy for life is a ridiculous notion.

I do know there is more than just me...a human being....something ... I have had strange experiences well I cant explain them
since losing my husband...no havent had visits or voices.... ... not yet anyway....
I dont think we can claim there is nothing but us...we make too many mistakes....too many wars...and still we havent found the answers..
funny how we spend time and a lot of money on solving puzzles from the past.....but almost nothing on the future....forget NASA.
its boys playing with toys...
the Church of all things should be willing to share..
cant see it happening though..

there was supposedly two alter boys...Redneck wrote: ↑Wed Feb 27, 2019 3:15 pmI like a lot on here am at two minds about Pells guilt.
But I also wonder why someone who was a choir boy with Pell at that time would make up a story like this with no-one else to corroborate his evidence knowing full well he would face extreme questioning by the best lawyers in Oz.
Looking for money from the church perhaps ?
The other supposed victim apparently denied it happened and is now dead, so what prompted the coppers to go ahead after that?
the other one has denied anything happened at all.. but now he is dead...
so one man said it happened
the other man says it didn't happen
Pell says it didnt happen
others with Pell at that time say it didnt happen
it was in a spot whereby anyone could walk in at any second.. doesn't make sense
it supposedly happened straight after mass finished... this is where the Priests march out of the church and then talked to the folks who came to mass... this happens at every Catholic Church ... I grew up in the church myself ..
so again... this seem unrealistic...
with the Evidence.. it is overwhelmingly for a Not Guilty verdict ... anyone can see that...
from all accounts reporters and everyone else was shocked and stunned at the verdict ...
and why can't Pell have Bail??
they give Bail to Murdering drug dealing Gangsters but not one frail old man??
this looks like a hit job...
im not saying one way or the other but only commenting on the evidence given..

Re: Andrew Bolt
Cardinal Pell’s lawyers Galbally & O’Bryan released a statement confirming he had not applied for bail today.
“He believes it is appropriate for him to await sentencing,” Galbally & O’Bryan.
“An appeal has already been lodged to be pursued following sentencing.
“Despite the unprecedented media coverage, Cardinal Pell has always and continues to maintain his
innocence.
