Oh Dearie Dearie me LTARDS

Labor leader Michael Daley did not disclose developer donations to his political campaigns when assessing multimillion-dollar development applications during his time at Randwick City Council despite council rules requiring councillors to do so.

Mr Daley, deputy mayor and a councillor from 1995 to 2008, even went so far as to repeatedly try to block and overturn donation disclosure rules after granting DAs for at times highly contentious projects to ALP donors.

Today’s revelation about Mr Daley’s history of accepting developer donations — and seeking to keep them secret — come as his bid to be the premier of NSW includes a campaign against overdevelopment in Sydney.

Not declaring developer donations is at odds with Randwick Council’s transparency rules and its anti-corruption Code of Conduct enshrined in law by the Carr government in January 2005 after ICAC scandals at other councils. :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

In one of three cases of impropriety uncovered, Mr Daley did not disclose his long-time campaign director, Ken Murray, was a director and president of the Randwick Labor Club at the time it sought approval for a $5 million development, while donating almost $500,000 to the ALP.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Mr Daley thanked Mr Murray in his maiden state parliament speech and he now works for the Labor leader as an electorate officer.

In another case, eastern suburbs developers Meck Developments and their affiliated companies donated $3000 to Mr Daley’s Maroubra by-election campaign just before polling day and $3000 to the 2004 ALP Randwick Council election ticket. It then had lucrative developments green-lit by the council, with Mr Daley supporting developments but not disclosing any conflict of interest.

In a third case, Mr Daley also did not declare any conflict when supporting a DA to redevelop Randwick’s Coach and Horses Hotel in February 2006, despite owners Argos Investments contributing $11,250 to his team running for council elections and $89,750 to the NSW ALP branch over a period of six years.

Mr Daley is also facing questions about whether he misled parliament over a DA granted for the home of jailed former Health Services Union boss, Michael Williamson. He previously told parliament he had only ever had “incidental” meetings with Williamson, but yesterday Mr Daley said he could not recall whether he had actually done a site visit to Mr Williamson’s home prior to the DA approva

its all so delicious... so corrupt LABOR>..

NSW Labor leader Michael Daley has admitted for the first time that he voted to approve a major extension to the Sydney beachside home of corrupt former union boss and former national Labor president Michael Williamson, despite local council staff warning against the development.

The NSW Opposition Leader, who is locked in a knife-edge election battle with Premier Gladys Berejiklian, made the admission to The Australian after Randwick council records linked him to the development approval process.

Despite previously claiming he had little or no involvement in it, council records show Mr Daley was commissioned by the council’s planning committee — which he chaired — to conduct a solo site visit two weeks before the development was approved.
Yeah just a beat up? Looks like he lied wot?

He has the personality of a dead fish and it's not because he is Labor. I dislike Gladys, Anthony Roberts and Andrew Constance equally.

Oh Dear,

I’m sure that this is just some sort of misunderstanding :?
$100,000 in donations quarantined amid Labor corruption probe

The NSW Premier will quarantine $100,000 of donation funds at the heart of a corruption investigation which is asking questions about a sitting Labor MP, former party boss, a billionaire property developer and cash donations linked to a prominent family of restaurateurs.

Key points:
ABC can reveal 20 donations totaling $100,000 made on the same day to NSW Labor are target of corruption probe

Most of the donors are connected to a well-known Sydney restaurateur family

Corruption watchdog examining "straw donor" theory and asking questions about billionaire property developer

The probe by the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) burst into the public arena in December, when officers raided the NSW ALP headquarters over a fundraising dinner on March 12, 2015.

Bill Shorten, Chris Bowen and a who's who of federal and state Labor politicians attended the dinner, which was just over two weeks before the NSW election.

It was formally organised by Chinese Friends of Labor — an ALP body designed to win votes and solicit donations from NSW's electorally-important Chinese-Australian community.

Since the raid the ALP headquarters has been a hotbed of rumours about what ICAC has been investigating but little was known, until now.

The ABC can reveal the investigators are focusing on 20 donations linked to a Chinese Friends of Labor dinner totalling $100,000 that were lodged on April 9, 2015, by a dozen people and businesses.

Crucially, ICAC is examining whether the $100,000 was in fact given by so-called "straw donors" — front people who agree to put their names to donations from other people to political parties. That is a crime under NSW electoral law.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
