NBN

Post by sprintcyclist » Tue Feb 19, 2019 8:28 pm

Phew, we are on the NBN.

A bit complex to get there. 1 day off work.
A 90 minute call to telstra and they realised the NBN here was not activated .

Phone works on it now, speed of 25Megs at the moment

Good news.

I finally got connected last week on the 4th attempt.
I'm on the slow plan but at least it's stable.

Good to see that NBN is delivering some value now.

How much extra do you pay compared to what you were paying before for this service?
Do you feel it is good value?

It is a bit complex.
I kept our old telstra plan going. You can just keep on with whatever net provider you had before the NBN changeover.

Our bill is the same, download about 6X faster. Which is of little importance to me.

Had a look at other deals offered by other telcos. Once I take our phone calls into account, there is little difference in the overall prices.

I ditched Telstra and stayed with the ISP I've had for 15+ years. Costs about the same but phone calls are much cheaper.
