It's going to be a huge election issue.
People who have already paid tax via their company fully franked shares will
be expected to pay that tax again.
They won't get any form of refund.
They will be double taxed.
Labor to hit self funded retirees.

The Govt. gets their greedy hands on any pile of money.
I think people need to see an accountant and get their money offshore
away from the greedy tax Dept.

Re: Labor to hit self funded retirees.
Some of us retired a very long time ago ....
I only had 10 years of paying Superannuation ....
I went without (from 1981), as did my daughter as a child, because my main thing was to pay off the MORTGAGE, I was able to get as a First Home Owner ... my ex did NOT own property, although I thought he did, initially.
Once I had paid off the Mortgage and "retired" ... things have been great.

I don't care any more. I don't have to. Start thinking about when you get OLD ... I've done it, all by myself ... you can too.Bobby wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 8:49 pmNeferti~ wrote: ↑Mon Feb 18, 2019 8:30 pmSome of us retired a very long time ago ....

But now the days are short, I'm in the autumn of my years
And I think of my life as vintage wine
From fine old kegs
From the brim to the dregs
It poured sweet and clear
It was a very good year

All the free things labor promise they have to fund from somewhere.
Either more tax, borrow more or cut spendings from elsewhere,
Either more tax, borrow more or cut spendings from elsewhere,
Right Wing is the Natural Progression.
