A wink. Looking at his watch. Eating an onion. Tony Abbott’s crimes are well known, but imagine the media reaction if he’d done something able to be portrayed as truly sinister – such as smiling contentedly after an ABC employee falls unconscious to the floor.
Bill Shorten, concentrating during his interview with Barrie Cassidy, clearly had no idea what had occurred yesterday morning when Insiders was interrupted by the cameraman’s collapse. Understandably perplexed by an apparent technical mishap, he defaulted to a smile:
Consider the Twitter fury if Abbott had reacted in similar fashion. For that matter, consider the fury if he’d fought with an Asian woman over a pie.
if someone can link the video you can see him sitting there all smiles while ABC staff run around.... so very caring about working people..
