It would only be past the flash points if exposed to spark of flame ... a great many substances can be melted or boiled but not ignite unless exposed to spark or flame directly. So you suck the sausage.

Like I stated, I did the research at uni. If the details had been wrong the essay would have been marked down.

I just googled oil refinery again, but I'm using public WiFi outdoors and it's starting to rain, so I'll do it another time.

Regarding you comment in a following post about hydrogen meeting the standard in the future.
I'm of the opinion that hydrogen to run IC engines (not fuel cells - too heavy) is the future of motor transport .. period.
Once the energy conglomerates have control of the industry and govts can tax/regulate it, everything else will probably be prohibited.

Brian - hatchbacks don't have boots. Are you suggesting hatchbacks are uncommon or impractical or a problem in some way?

I dont need to google it I know an industrial chemist that builds bio fuel plants
